The reason the two emission designators are requested for this device is because for VHF marine operation, the modulation is 16KOF3E. For digital selective calling on CH70, the modulation is 16KOG3E. Please refer to page 44 of the Owner’s Manual. I have advised Yaesu that this unit will be approved as a ship station only and they understand this.
