Attestation from Digital Control: Currently we do not do any tuning of the DigiRadio module. The DigiRadio relies on the host device to program the specific carrier frequency. We verify it’s functionality by making sure we can pick up the transmitted signal using a receiver tuned to the same frequency. While there are provisions in the Si1000 to adjust the Load Capacitance and Frequency Offset of the Local Oscillator, the DigiRadio uses a high precision Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that does not require fine tuning. Default values are hardcoded into the DigiRadio firmware and cannot be changed by the host device. Basically, the radio either works or it doesn’t.
