A standard USB male type A connector provides the USB signals for the Blue Opal USB adaptor. The USB adaptor has an internal antenna and has been tested to observe receive sensitivity better than –82dBm and power output +2dBm (typical). The RF performance of the module is stable within +/-1dB under the temperature of –10deg.C to +85deg.C. The Blue Opal USB adaptor can be plugged either directly into a USB port or via an extend- ed cable to a host computer. The USB Adaptor can be supplied with ImpulseSoft’s Bluetooth Software Stack, BluePC that supports Win 98 ME, Win 98 SE, Win 2000 and Win XP. “Blue Opal” is designed to address the Mobile Personal Computer & Desktop Computer “Add-On” markets, providing Bluetooth support for current & legacy machines.
