(1) THIS DEVICE MAY NOT CAUSE HARMFUL INTERFERENCE, AND (2) THIS DEVICE MUST ACCEPT ANY INTERFERENCE RECEIVED, INCLUDING INTERFERENCE THAT MAY CAUSE UNDESIRED OPERATION . The FCC requires the following notification for the device in compliance with 47CFR 15.105 for this Class B digital device. Full product test reports are available from Axonn upon request. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a residential environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. WARNING: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Axonn may render the device non-compliant to FCC and other regulatory body standards for operation and may void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Doc # 8511-0112-01 19349 N. 12th Street Covington, LA 70433 Phone: 985-893-1048 www.axonn.com To: FCC This notice is in regard to the Stamp transceiver module which operates in the 2.4GHz range on channels that fall between 2407-2477 MHz. During FCC testing, test firmware was used where the low and high frequencies were 2401 and 2480 MHz respectively in order to test over the entire band. In real operating units, no software will be provided to a customer that will operate outside of 2407-2477 MHz and no software will be provided that will give the customer the opportunity or capability to change the frequencies below 2407 MHz or above 2477 MHz. The restricted range will remain in effect at all times. We regret the fact that the unit was tested at 2401 to 2480. At the time, we thought the unit needed to be tested over the full 2.4 GHz spectrum, not the actual operating channels that are used on the device which fall within those boundaries. If there are any comments or issues, please contact Axonn for more information.
CONFIDENTIALITY REQUEST Federal Communications Commission Equipment Authorization Branch 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Date: November 11, 2006 Gentlemen: Axonn LLC, Inc respectfully requests confidentiality of certain materials provided with the submission of the STAMP Developer Board under FCC ID: L2V-STAMP in accordance with FCC Regulations 0.459. The confidentiality request applies to the schematics, block diagram and Theory of Operation. The STAMP Develop has been developed at considerable effort and expense by Axonn LLC These items are considered as Trade Secrets and therefore public access to the proprietary material could possible result in duplication of equipment that could severely damage the company's business advantage. I appreciate your assistance in this matter. Sincerely, Louis A. Feudi, Date: November 11, 2006 VP / Operations & Engineering 3505 Francis Circle Alpharetta, GA 30004 PH: 770-740-0717 Fax: 770-740-1508 www.ustech-lab.com
3/13/2007 Mr. Doug Noble ATCB RE: Axonn FCC ID:L2V-STAMP Mr.Noble, Thank you for your comments in your letter of 2/8/2007. Below is my response to your comments on this application. I have included your original comments in my response. 1. Please revise label it needs the manufacturer and model number for Industry Canada. As in previous application responses, Axonn does not print the Company Name and model number on the drawing print, but includes it in the label order request. This confirms that the Label will contain the words “Axonn Corporation” and the “Model STAMP” 2. Please upload Test Setup Photos exhibit. Uploaded. 3. Frequencies on the Form 731 and the test report do not match please explain and/or correct. The original Form 731 contained the projected theoretical High and Low frequencies from the Design engineer. The revised Form 731 contains the actual as measured during Fundamental emissions. Corrected Form 731 Uploaded. Please contact me with any further questions. Sincerely, Louis A. Feudi Vice President of Operations and Engineering 3505 Francis Circle Alpharetta, GA 30004 PH: 770-740-0717 Fax: 770-740-1508 www.ustech-lab.com
October 2, 2007 Mr. Doug Noble ATCB RE: Axonn FCC ID:L2V-STAMP Mr.Noble, Thank you for your comments in your letter of 3/14/2007. Below is my response to your comments on this application. I have included your original comments in my response. I have a few comments on this Application. 1. After reviewing the label exhibit there seems to be enough space on the board to place the label. Please show label drawing with IC number, manufacturer and model number. Also show where the label will be placed on the PC board. Size limitation prohibits any label from being placed upon the board. Canada, in particular, requires too much information. Below is a photo of the board next to a ruler. This is the actual unit. The red PCB is a test board for application purpose only. 2. Please upload the correct operational description. The frequencies on the exhibit we now have do not correspond with this filing. Please see “Operational Spec Page from MMT Spec”. This is the Operational information from Axonn specific to the STAMP, which was originally conceived as part of the MMT Unit. This info has been uploaded. 3. Please get an attestation from the manufacturer of the highest and lowest frequencies and upload as channel attestation exhibit. Uploaded is a copy of an email confirming the lowest and highest frequency of the CM1 unit. This unit incorporates a STAMP Module and has been Certified to 15.249 under L2V-CM1. This email applies to the STAMP as well. From: Eric Blanchard [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 12:17 PM To: 'Louis A. Feudi'; 'Walter Debus' Cc: 'Sandi'; 'Alan Ghasiani' Subject: RE: Config Tool Hi Lou, The lowest and highest frequencies actually used in the normal operation of the configuration module are 2407 and 2477MHz. Also, our software engineer is still trying to get to the revamped version of the Sender/Receiver software which automatically recovers from ESD shock. I will send it to you as soon as I receive it and verify that it works. Thanks AXONN, L.L.C. Wireless Data Solutions That Work Eric Blanchard Design Engineer 19349 N. 12th Street Covington, LA 70433 P-985-893-1048, ext 318 [email protected] 4. Bandedge plots are for 15.247 restricted bands not for 15.249 Bandedge. Lower Bandedge is not shown. Please revise Bandedge plots to show compliance with 15.249. Please revise test report to include new Bandedge plots. Revised and Uploaded 5. Test report states the EUT is battery operated. Please show battery connections in test setup photos. Please see attachment. Battery Attachment is shown in Radiated Emissions Photo. There is no conducted emissions photo due to Battery powered application. Refer to Original Operational Description for illustration of battery connection within MMT. Please contact me with any further questions. Sincerely, Louis A.
