American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 July 19, 2007 RE: FCC ID: LJPRM-310_ATCB005074 Attention: Kare Oksanen I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that the label sample provided does not appear to be the FCC ID or IC label. Please provide a correct FCC ID label sample. 2. Please note that on page 3 of the test report it states “ The test results of LJPRM-243 are re-used for certification of the LJPRM-310.” Testing must be on the device for which certification is being requested. Please explain and provide adequate justification as to why the test results mentioned are applicable to the RM-310 device. 3. Please note that section 3.2 of the part 22.24 report “Limits for spurious radiated emissions measurements” lists WCDMA. Please explain. Does this device use WCDMA850 or 1900 technology? 4. Please note that the SAR report states use of data from RM-243. Please explain and please justify why this data is relevant to the RM-310 device. Please account for any changes or modifications between the two devices. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. RESPONSE 1 (1) TP/PPS/MAS Kare Oksanen 09 August 2007 Ref: FCC ID: LJPRM-310 IC: 661E-RM310 1. Please note that the label sample provided does not appear to be the FCC ID or IC label. Please provide a correct FCC ID label sample. A: This has now been corrected in new FCC ID label document uploaded to your server. 2. Please note that on page 3 of the test report it states “The test results of LJPRM-243 are re-used for certification of the LJPRM-310.” Testing must be on the device for which certification is being requested. Please explain and provide adequate justification as to why the test results mentioned are applicable to the RM-310 device. A: The differences between LJPRM-243 and LJPRM-310 are - Removal of WCDMA-component. This section is still covered with the same RF shield than in LJPRM-243. Signal paths to missing components are terminated as appropriate in design guidelines. - Removal of secondary camera Therefore these two products are electrically similar so that test results can be reused. 3. Please note that section 3.2 of the part 22.24 report “Limits for spurious radiated emissions measurements” lists WCDMA. Please explain. Does this device use WCDMA850 or 1900 technology? A: This product does not have any WCDMA functionality. Test report uses generic template, which includes limits for several kind of devices. 4. Please note that the SAR report states use of data from RM-243. Please explain and please justify why this data is relevant to the RM-310 device. Please account for any changes or modifications between the two devices. A. Please see A2.
