It conforms to the IEEE 802.11g protocol and operates in the 2.45 GHz ISM frequency bands. Γ― Fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11g WLAN standards Γ― FCC Certified Under Part 15 (pending) to Operate in the 2.45 Bands Γ― Support for 54, 48, 36, 24, 18, 12, 9, and 6 Mbps OFDM, 11 and 5.5 Mbps CCK and legacy 2 and 1 Mbps data rates Γ― Driver Supports Microsoft Windows Γ† 98/SE, ME, XP and 2000 (SR1) 1-Cardbus Installation procedure 1.1 Installing the Cardbus card into the host PC Notebook a-Turn Host PC off, then insert Cardbus card into Cardbus slot of notebook Host PC. CAUTION: 1-- This assembly is designed to operate with a supply voltage of 3.3V in laptop computers supporting the CARDBUS32 standard. 2-- Do not force engagement of the card in the CARDBUS32 slot. Any changes or modifications made to this device that are not expressly approved by Z-Com may void the userΓ­s authority to operate the equipment. Z-Com is not responsible for any radio or television interference caused by unauthorized modification of this device, or the substitution or attachment of connecting cables and equipment other than specified. It is the responsibility of the user to correct any interference caused by such unauthorized modification, substitution or attachment. Z-Com and its authorized resellers or distributors will assume no liability for any damage or violation of government regulations arising from failing to comply with these guidelines. The use of Wireless LAN devices may be restricted in some situations or environments for example: * On board of airplanes, or * In an explosive environment, or * In case the interference risk to other devices or services is perceived or identified as harmful. Ref: FCC ID: M4Y-XG-300 Z-Com Inc. The device was retested by CETECOM for RF output power with revised firmware power settings. The RF output power of the device proved to be +19.9 dBm. This is a change of -0.3 dB (-6.7%) in RF output power as compared to the previously measured RF output power of +20.2 dBm. Given the fact that the overall combined measurement uncertainty of the measurement system is +/-13.6%, it was concluded that the difference of -0.3dB (-6.7%) in RF output power would cause a change in worst-case SAR values which would fall within the measurement uncertainty range of the measurement system which was used during all measurements. It can therefore be justified that the SAR values, as measured at a RF output power of +20.2 dBm, can be represented as being the absolute worst-case values which could be measured at a RF output power of +19.9 dBm.
