Wi2Wi W2SW0001 WiFi Module w/ Pulse W3008C Antenna Installation Instructions Purpose of the TXB-DB Dual Transmitter Module The Wi2Wi W2SW0001 WiFi Module w/ Pulse W3008C Antenna (“module”) can be installed in applicable Remote Technologies Inc. (“RTI”) products only. This module is not sold retail by RTI, nor is it provided by RTI as an OEM product to other manufacturers or companies for installation into their products. RTI and its authorized Contract Manufacturers are the only authorized installers of this module and it is not provided as a field or end-user upgrade. When properly and permanently installed in an applicable RTI product, the module will provide 802.11 b/g WiFi communication. Installation Instructions When the module is installed in an RTI product it is permanently affixed to the host product and cannot be removed without the use of additional equipment. This module is also not visible, nor accessible by the end-user. Any attempted access or removal of the module by anyone other than RTI or its authorized Contract Manufacturers is strictly prohibited. When installed in a host RTI product, the host RTI product will display verbiage to the effect of the following in accordance with FCC 47 CFR Part 15 Section 15.212: Contains Transmitter Module FCC ID: MMURTI1600 Contains IC: 3166A‐RTI1600 or Contains FCC ID: MMURTI1600 Contains IC: 3166A‐RTI1600 The Operation Manual of the host RTI product will also display the following information in accordance with FCC 47 CFR Part 15 Section 15.19: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference. (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
FCC ID: MMURTI1600 Part 15 Unlicensed Modular Transmitter Approval Justification per DA 00-1407, released: June 26, 2000 requirement reference 1 The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. The module contains its own custom shield. Wi2Wi part number W2SW0001-SHLD. 2 The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs The W2SW0001 SIP contains TX and RX Buffer Management schemes. 3 The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation. The W2SW0001 contains an internal power regulator that takes a 3.3V unregulated supply and generates both 1.8V analog and 1.8V IO voltages. 4 The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204(c). The unit uses a permanently attached surface mount antennas. The unit can also only be installed and repaired by RTI. It is not end-user accessible/serviceable. There is no authorized external power amplifier that may be used with either bands of this device. 5 The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration, i.e., the module must not be inside another device during testing. The module was tested with a support board to enable proper operation. 6 The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number, and, if the FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed inside another device, then the outside of the device into which the module is installed must also display a label referring to the enclosed module. See “MMU-RTI1600 Labeling Information.doc” 7 The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. A copy of these instructions must be included in the application for equipment authorization. No Specific Rules are Applicable 8 The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure requirements. For example, FCC Rules in Sections 2.1091, 2.1093 and specific Sections of Part 15, including 15.319(i), 15.407(f), 15.253(f) and 15.255(g), require that Unlicensed PCS, UNII and millimeter wave devices perform routine environmental evaluation for RF Exposure to demonstrate compliance. In addition, spread spectrum transmitters operating under Section 15.247 are required to address RF Exposure compliance in accordance with Section 15.247(b)(4). Not Applicable
