If damage is found, contact your Authorized Telular Distributor or shipping agent immediately. Not Included • Six AAA Alkaline Batteries (for emergency battery backup). • Two 1 1 / 2 -inch (3.75 cm) Mounting Screws (for wall-mount installation only). The above exhibits contain designs and information proprietary to Telular. This information is available only for internal company use, and is not available publicly. Public release of this information would allow competitors to copy key elements of Telular’s design, and also provide them with engineering specifications that have been based on Telular’s many years of experience. We feel that this material should be held confidential in perpetuity, because the trade secrets that are based on Telular’s years of experience will always be applicable to the design of a similar product. Operational Description

All the features and functionality of a wireline telephone – without the wires – from Telular. The Phonecell ® SX4P Desktop Phone for TDMA 800 is a digital wireless telephone which incorporates Telular’s fixed wireless technology in a full-featured touch-tone phone. Rather than connect to a traditional landline, the SX4P Desktop Phone connects wirelessly to existing 800 MHz TDMA cellular networks. The SX4P Desktop Phone operates just like an ordinary wireline phone. The user picks up the handset, hears a dial tone, enters the phone number on the touch-tone keypad and waits for a connection. There is no SEND key. The Desktop Phone includes common wireline phone features such as caller ID, call waiting, 3-way calling, redial and voice mail with visible and audible indicators, which can be accessed with a single key. The Phonecell SX4P Desktop Phone for TDMA 800 is the ideal solution for today’s wireless communication needs. None of the following adjustments are available to the end user. No hidden "back door" commands exist to allow changes from the keypad. The following items are measured and correction tables are generated. Upon successful completion of all tests, this data is written into the radio's nonvolatile memory. Specifically: 1) 14.4 MHz Frequency Standard Sets the internal frequency standard exactly to 14.4 MHz, compensating for manufacturing tolerances. 2) Analog Mode FM Peak Deviation Adjusts the voice deviation not to exceed specified +/- 12 kHz. 3) Analog Mode SAT Deviation Adjusts deviation of SAT to specified 2.0 kHz. 4) Analog Mode Signaling Tone Deviation Adjusts deviation of ST to specified 8.0 kHz. 5) Digital Mode Data Deviation Adjusts amplitude and deviation of TDMA mode transmit waveform to match specification. 6) Analog Transmit Power Detector vs 8 Power Steps Calibrates the transmit power detector output voltage for each of 8 power output levels using the FM transmit waveform. Nominal power levels are +28, +24, +20, +16, +12, +8, +8, +8 and +8 dBm. 7) Digital Mode Transmit Power Detector vs 11 Power Steps Calibrates the transmit power detector output voltage for each of the 11 power output levels using the TDMA digital transmit waveform. Transmit power is adjusted by a closed looped feedback controller, based upon detected power output. By design, regardless of calibration data values, transmitter is incapable of exceeding maximum specified power output by more than approximately 1 dB. Transmit frequency initially uses the accuracy of the internal 14.4 MHz standard. The voltage/current into the final stages is 13.7 Volts, 0.9 Amperes.
