Hi Reviewers, Here are the customer's replies to the remaining questions on this submission. Question #1: Internal Photos: The FCC ID number (N7N-MC8775) in the internal photos does not match with proposed FCC ID number (N7N-MC8775U). Please make necessary corrections. <answer>The FCC ID N7NMC8775(not N7N-MC8775)in the internal photos is for an already approved Sierra Wireless module. N7N-MC8775U is for this application(USB WIRELESS MODEM). Question #2: FCC ID label: As shown in the FCC ID label format, it looks like the FCC ID label will be placed underneath the battery. By reviewing the user manual, looks like the battery and sim card will be installed by the end user at the time of installation so the FCC ID label will be seen by the end user at the time of purchase. Please confirm this statement. ANSWER: Confirmed by Ying Wang of Sierra Wireless. Question #3: User Manual: Regulatory section of user manual does not contain information to warn the user that this device can not be co-located with other transmitter. The following statement is suggested to be included: [YW] The manual has been revised. "CAUTION: The AirCard 875 USB modem has been tested for compliance with FCC / IC RF exposure limits in the laptop computer(s) configurations with the side loading USB slot and can be used in laptop computers with substantially similar physical dimensions, construction, and electrical and RF characteristics. This USB Modem must not be co ] located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Use of this device in any other configuration may exceed the FCC RF Exposure compliance limit. Note: If this USB modem is intended for use in any other portable device, you are responsible for separate approval to satisfy the SAR requirements of Part 2.1093 of FCC rules." ANSWER: Please see attached revised manual. Question #4: EMI Statement in the user manual, " These devices comply with Part 15 of FCC rules. Operation is subject to the condition that these devices do not cause harmful interference ". Please replace above statement to comply the requirement as stated in section 15.19(a)(3): This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and 2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesirable operation. [YW] Per prior discussion with FCC, we label the device per Part 15 Section 15.19 (a) (1) since the device contains a receiver associated with the operation of a licensed radio service. ANSWER: Please see attached revised manual. Question #5: FCC ID label: since there is no DoC logo included in the ID label format and this USB modem is also classified as PC peripheral device. In the submitted attachments, there is ITE test setup photo but there is no Part 15B test report. If the applicant is 2 going to use FCC DoC procedure to comply with PC peripheral compliance requirements, then FCC ID label must comply with FCC DoC label requirement by including FCC DoC logo. If PC Peripheral portion is subject to Certification, then please mark this application as composite application and submit another application as PC peripheral ( JBP). <answer>We are going to file a JBP application immediately. Question #6: Page 35 of user manual, please change FCC Equipment Authorization ID: N7N- MC8775U to FCC ID: N7N-MC8775U. [YW] The manual has been revised. ANSWER: Please see attached revised manual. Question #7: Request for confidentiality letter. Theory of operation is not listed in the request letter but this file contains Block Diagram. Please modify request letter by including theory of operation. <answer>confi. letter is revised and uploaded(please see TCBUpload\AN07T6505). Question #8: Please submit SAR report and associated attachments. <answer>SAR report/attachment are uploaded(please see TCBUpload\AN07T6505). Thank you. Output power listed is ERP for Part 22 and EIRP for Part 24. This device has been tested with specific integral antenna for SAR compliance in three notebook computers with vertical / horizontal USB slots, as described in this filings, and can be used in notebook computers with substantially similar physical dimensions, construction, and electrical and RF characteristics. Compliance of this device in all final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. End-users must be provided with specific information required to satisfy RF exposure compliance for the final host device. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter within a host device. The highest reported SAR values are: Part 22 lap-held: 1.375 W/kg, Part 24 lap-held: 1.202 W/kg. This device contains functions that are not operational in U.S Territories. This filing is only applicable for US operations.
