Download and install UA Record™ from the iOS App Store or Google Play store. English 2 Pairing your UA Band to your phone 1. Launch the UA Record™ app and create an account. 2. Choose from the list of devices to connect. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your UA Band to your phone and UA Record™ account. Note: If you already have the UA Record™ app, sign in and tap the ‘More’ button from the menu on the ‘My Record’ screen. Next, select ‘Manage Apps & Devices’ and choose from the list of available devices. Connect your UA Band to the supplied charging cable. 2. Plug the USB cable end to a power source. 3. When charging, your UA Band will display a red light next to the Home button. Once fully charged, the light will turn green. English 45 Replacing your UA Band strap Your UA Band comes with an extra strap that can fi t smaller wrist sizes. To replace the strap with a diff erent size, follow these steps: 1. Insert the pin provided into the small hole on the underside of the strap. 2. Safety and regulatory guide (band) Please read before proceeding THE BATTERY IS NOT FULLY CHARGED WHEN YOU TAKE THIS PRODUCT OUT OF THE BOX. Important health information and safety precautions When using this product, the safety precautions bel ow must be taken to avoid possible damage, injury, or liability. Retain and follow all safety and operati ng instructions. Observe all warnings in the operat ing instructions. To reduce the risk of bodily injury, electric shock, fire, and damage; observe the follo wing precautions.  WARNING: This product is not a medical product and should not be used as a substitute for medical care. This product is not intended to diag nose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We recommend checking with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.  WARNING: This product has a heart rate tracking fea ture that may pose risks if you have certain health conditions. These health conditions include : heart conditions, taking photosensitive medicine, epilepsy, sensitivity to flashing lights, and reduced circulation. This heart tracking feature works best when the product is snugly fitte d. If you have tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or other musculoskeletal disorders, check with your doctor before using this product. Please discontinue use of this product if you feel tingling, numbness, burning, or stiffness in your hands or wrists while wearing this product. Electrical safety& safety precautions for RF exposure This product is intended for use when supplied with power from the designated battery or power supply unit. Other usage may be dangerous and will invalid ate any approval or warranty given to this product.  Accessories  Use only original manufacturer-approved accessories , or accessories that do not contain any metal.  Do not connect with incompatible products or access ories. Use of non-original manufacturer-approved accessories may violate your local RF exposure guidelines and should be avoided.  Faulty and damaged products  Do not attempt to disassemble this product or its a ccessories.  Only qualified personnel should service or repair t his product or its accessories. Safety precautions for proper grounding installatio n CAUTION: Connecting to improperly grounded equipmen t can result in an electric shock. This product is equipped with a USB cable for conne cting to a desktop or notebook computer. Be sure your computer is properly grounded (earthed) before connecting this product to the computer. The power supply cord of a desktop or notebook computer has a n equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet which is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Safety precautions for power supply unit  Use the correct external power source A product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the electrical ratings label. If you are not sure of the type of power sou rce required, consult your authorized service provi der or local power company. For a product that operates from battery power or other sources, refer to the operating instructions that are included with the p roduct.  Handle battery packs carefully This product contains a Lithium-ion polymer or Lith ium-ion battery. There is a risk of fire and burns if the battery pack is handled improperly. WARNING: To reduce risk of fire or burns, do not di sassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts or circuits, expose to temperatur e above 60° C (140° F), or dispose of in fire or water. Recycle or dispose of used batteries according to the local regulations or reference guide supplied with this product.  Other battery precautions  Do not immerse this product in water or other liqui ds.  The product should only be connected to products th at bear the USB-IF logo or have completed the USB-IF compliance program.  Avoid dropping the product. If the product is dropp ed, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, take it to a service center for in spection.  If the battery leaks:  Do not allow the leaking fluid to come in contact w ith skin or clothing. If already in contact, flush the affected area immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.  Do not allow the leaking fluid to come in contact w ith eyes. If already in contact, DO NOT rub; rinse with clean water immediately and seek medical advic e.  Take precautions to keep a leaking battery away fro m fire as there is a danger of ignition or explosio n. Safety precautions for direct sunlight Keep this product away from excessive moisture and extreme temperatures. Do not leave the product inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 60°C (140°F), such as on a car dashboar d, window sill, or behind glass that is exposed to dir ect sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extend ed periods of time. This may damage the product, overh eat the battery, or pose a risk to the vehicle. Road safety Full attention must be given to driving at all time s in order to reduce the risk of an accident. You m ust comply with local laws and regulations restricting the use of wireless products while driving. General precautions You alone are responsible for how you use this prod uct and any consequences of its use. You must always switch off this product wherever the use of an electronic device is prohibited. Use of this product is subject to safety measures designed to p rotect users and their environment.  Before exposing the product to liquids, refer to th e operating instructions for specific information o n water resistance.  Avoid applying excessive pressure to the product Do not apply excessive pressure on this product to prevent damage and remove the product from your pocket before sitting down.
