Test Report

American Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave., Suite C110, McLean, VA 22101 August 20, 2013 RE: ATCB014412 – Original Equipment Certification Application FCC ID: NMTPE128 for IDT Technology, Ltd. I have a few comments on this Application. Please do not put confidential information in your responses to these questions because the response letter will not be held confidential by the FCC. Depending on your answers there may be more questions. 1. I have the following comments on the submitted test report: (a) In Section 2 of the test report, it does not refer to a date of KDB 558074 or a version number. KDB 558074 D01 could be either a version dated 1-18-12 or a version dated 4- 9-13. Please elaborate on what version of KDB 558074 was used for testing this DTS transmitter. Answer: The version dated 4-9-13 was used. (b) What was the resolution bandwidth of the measuring instrument during AC line conducted testing? I cannot find this information in the submitted test report. Please address Answer: please find the description in page 12 of the revised report. (c) What Section of KDB 558074 was used to measure the output power reported in Section 5.3 of the submitted test report? Both versions (2012 or 2013 dates of KDB 558074) contain several ways to measure the maximum output power. For example, in the 2013 version, output power may be measured via Section 9.1.1, Section 9.1.2, Section 9.1.3, Section 9.2.2.1, Section 9.2.2.2, Section 9.2.2.3, Section 9.2.2.4, Section 9.2.2.5, Section 9.2.2.6, Section 9.2.2.7, Section 9.2.3.1, or Section 9.2.3.2. Which section was followed? Please address. Answer: KDB558074 V03 -01 9.1.1 was reference for the output power testing. (d) What Section of KDB 558074 was used to measure the 6 dB bandwidth reported in Section 5.4 of the submitted test report? Several sections may be used. Which section was followed? Please address. Answer: KDB558074 V03 -01 8.1 Option 1 was reference for bandwidth testing. (e) What Section of KDB 558074 was used to measure the power spectral density reported in Section 5.5 of the submitted test report? Several sections may be used. Which section was followed? Please address. Answer: KDB558074 V03 -01 10.2 was reference for PSD testing. (f) Section 5.8 of the submitted test report does not pertain to a DTS transmitter. Even though a Bluetooth Low Energy device uses frequency hopping techniques, the FCC has stated that these devices must be approved using the DTS transmitter standards. You may either delete this section from the test report or leave it in the test report, in which case, I will ignore it. Answer: Please ignore it. Thanks. ïŹ Page 2 August 20, 2013 Richard Fabina Examining Engineer mailto: [email protected] Phone: 703-635-2881 The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application.
