Kwikset Model Number 898 Remote Keypad Kwikset Corporation, 2000 Programming Remote Keypads (Model number 898) To light up the keypad, push any key before proceeding... Changing a PIN: 1. Enter the PIN you wish to change, the Action LED illuminates green 2. Simultaneously push and hold the โ1โ and โ2โ buttons, the Action LED will start flashing red, keep holding โ1โ and โ2โ buttons 3. Once the LED starts to flash green, release the โ1โ and โ2โ buttons and enter the new PIN (up to 8 digits long) 4. Push LOCK to store new PIN, the Actions LED will extinguish Enabling/Disabling the Auxiliary PIN: 1. Enter your Master PIN, the Action LED illuminates green 2a. To enable the Auxiliary PIN, simultaneously push the UNLOCK and โ2โ buttons, the Action LED will flash green two times 2b. To disable the Auxiliary PIN, simultaneously push the LOCK and โ2โ buttons, the Action LED will flash red two times Resetting PINs to Factory Presets: 1. Simultaneously push and hold the LOCK and โ5โ buttons, the Action LED will start flashing red 2. After 5 seconds, the keypad will shut down and the Master and Auxiliary PINs will be reset to 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 respectively. The Auxiliary PIN will be disabled. 3. All AccessOne Receivers need to be reprogrammed to recognize the Keypad Low Battery Indicator: Under normal conditions, the Action LED will flash red once for each keystroke. When batteries are low, the Action LED will flash red-green-red with each keystroke. Replace batteries immediately to prevent a lock-out situation.
