The model name,R1800AM, is a Safety Information Please take these safety precautions into consideration under the following conditions : Under normal circumstances, Reservation Mode is cancelled when a door or hatchback opens. Please verify that the opening of any door or hatchback cancels Reservation Mode. If any of the doors or hatchback are not monitored by Scosche because of improper installation or a faulty dome light switch, do not use the Scosche and take your vehicle immediately to the dealer for repair. Do not set Reservation Mode if the window(s) are open or if there is anyone inside the vehicle, this includes animals. Remote start installation in a manual transmission vehicle with a convertible top is not recommended. Page 4 Important! When servicing your automobile (i.e. changing the oil, washing your car), the Young Shin Electronics, Inc system should be in Valet Mode. There is a safety shutdown switch under the hood that deactivates the remote starter function if the hood is open. However, if the switch has been damaged or the switch has been installed improperly, the vehicle may start when the button is pressed for 2 seconds, even if the hood is open. Whenever you loan your vehicle to an individual who is not familiar with Young Shin Electronics, Inc, you may want to put the vehicle in Valet mode. This will prevent the borrower from accidentally activating the Scosche auto-security system. If the Young Shin Electronics, Inc. Remote Learn Routine The Young Shin Electronics, Incsystem will allow up to three remotes to be programmed to one vehicle. Test Procedure 1.1 Preliminary Testing for Reference Preliminary testing was performed in a KTL absorber-lined room to determine the emission characteristics of the EUT. The EUT was placed on the wooden table which has dimensions of 0.8 meters in height, 1 meter in length and 1.5 meters in width. Receiving antenna (Biconi-Log antenna : 30 to 1000 MHz or Horn Antenna : 1 to 18 GHz) was placed at the distance of 1 meter from the EUT. An attempt was made to maximize the emission level with the various configurations of the EUT. Emission levels from the EUT with various configurations were examined on a spectrum analyzer connected with a RF amplifier and graphed by a plotter. 1.2 Final Radiated Emission Test at an Absorber-Lined Room The final measurement of radiated field strength was carried out in a KTL absorber-lined Room that was listed up at FCC according to the "R…
