If held for 3.5 seconds, it will panic the system. Please take these safety precautions into consideration under the fol-lowing conditions : 1. Servicing the vehicle When servicing your automobile (i.e. changing the oil, washingyour car), the MAGICAR system should be in Valet Mode. There is a safety shutdown switch under the hood that deactivatesthe remote starter function if the hood is open. However, if theswitch has been damaged or the switch has been installed improperly,the vehicle may start when the button is pressed for 2 seconds, even if the hood is open. 2. Loaning your vehicle to others Whenever you loan your vehicle to an individual who is not familiarwith MAGICAR , you may want to put the vehicle in Valet mode. This will prevent the borrower from accidentally activating the MAGICAR auto-security system. 3. For manual transmission vehicles If the MAGICAR is installed in a manual transmission vehicle, extra precautions are required because the MAGICAR does not monitor the gear shifter : Important ! Under normal circumstances, Reservation Mode is cancelled when a door or hatchback opens. Please verifythat the opening of any door or hatchback cancels ReservationMode. If any of the doors or hatchback are not monitored by the MAGICAR because of improper installation or a faulty dome light switch, do not use the MAGICAR and take your vehicle immediate- ly to the dealer for repair. Do not set Reservation Mode if the window(s) are open or if thereis anyone inside the vehicle, this includes animals. Remote startinstallation in a manual transmission vehicle with a convertible top is not recommended. One-Way Remote Owner's Manual Safety Information 3 The MAGICAR system will allow up to three remotes to be programmed to one vehicle, and each remote can be programmed to two vehicles. Please per-form the following procedure to add or reprogram new or existing remotes. Remote Learn Routine Note : "" : Means, to press the button for 2 seconds. " () " : Means, to simultaneously press the buttons. " () " : Means to simultaneously press the buttons for 2 seconds. 2nd car for 30 Seconde One-Way Remote Owner's Manual 6 Important Requirements to activate Reservation Mode - The transmission must be in the NEUTRAL position. - The vehicle windows must be rolled up. - Do not set the reservation mode with people in the vehicle. - Do not auto-start the vehicle with people inside it. Activating Reservation Mode ( MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY ) Step 1 : After arriving at your destination, and BEFORE TURNING YOUR ENGINE O FF , place the transmission in the Neutral position. Step 2 : Activate the parking brake. Step 3 : Remove your foot from the foot brake. Step 4 : Remove the key from the ignition, and the engine will remain running. Step 5 : Exit the vehicle and close the door within two minutes after activating the parking brake. The engine will shut off and reservation mode for the remote starter is now compl ete. One-Way Remote Owner's Manual 5 Step 1: Activate Valet/ Programming mode by man- ually turning the ignition on then off (between Acc and On) five times within seven seconds. The parking lights will flash once with successful completion ofthis step. Step 2 : Within a seven second period after cycling the ignition for the 5 th time, Press the button for a 1 / 2 second. The vehicle parking lights will flash once to confirm that the transmitter has beenprogrammed. You can continue programming the additional remotes atThis Time. The parking lights will flash two times when the program-ming mode has expired. In order to auto-start your manual transmission vehicle, you must firstset the MAGICAR system to Reservation Mode before leaving your vehicle. The purpose of Reservation Mode is to leave the transmissiongear in the neutral position when you leave your vehicle. Reservationmode is intended for use on MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY and NOT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. Reservation Modemust be engaged each and every time you leave your manual transmis-sion vehicle in order to auto-start it. Reservation Mode (manual transmission only) Note : The system is not recommended for manual transmis- sion vehicles with removable or convertible tops. While the vehicle is in valet mode, the only features that will function will be the keyless entry and optional auxiliary functions. In order to enter Valet mode, press thebuttons simultaneously for a 1/2second. Block2 : The Battery supply the power of +DC6.0 volts to the circuits Block3 : This is the LED display Block4 : This is the micro-controller U1(Micro-controller) reads the button and make the radio transition circuits’ work. Test Procedure 1.1 Preliminary Testing for Reference Preliminary testing was performed in a KTL absorber-lined room to determine the emission characteristics of the EUT. The EUT was placed on the wooden table which has dimensions of 0.8 meters in height, 1 meter in length and 1.5 meters in width. Receiving antenna (Biconi-Log antenna : 30 to 1000 MHz or Horn Antenna : 1 to 18 GHz) was placed at the distance of 1 meter from the EUT. An attempt was made to maximize the emission level with the various configurations of the EUT.
