Users Manual

There are two important things to remember when putting on your ActiPed. 1. It must be located on the top of your shoe between your toes and the front of your ankle. 2. It must be snug to your shoe and not loose where it can move or flop around. For sneakers or shoes with laces, slide the ActiPed clip underneath 2 or 3 lace crossings and place the ActiPed TM near the top middle of your shoe. For shoes without laces, slide the clip underneath a strap, the tongue or anyplace that is on top of the shoe that the clip can snugly grip to. What does the ActiPed collect for your activity? The ActiPed TM collects activity data as steps, activity time, calories burned and distance traveled. It measures activity data for your run steps, walk steps or moving around. It does not work for all types of activities, the ones primarily where your foot isn’t hitting the ground in a manner that could be considered a verifiable foot strike. For example, elliptical machines and cycling. The ActiPed TM will store approximately 10 to 30 days of activity data depending on how much you wear you ActiPed and your daily activity levels. How does my activity data get transferred from my ActiPed to my personal web account? The ActiPed TM wirelessly transports your activity data when it contacts an ActiLink data access device. This can be through either an ActiLink Personal USB device in your computer or other ActiLink devices set up in a building, facility or worksite. Page 2 of 34 Retlif Testing Laboratories, Test Report R-5351N, FitLinxx FCC ID: O9DAP4, IC: 4068A-AP4 Tests Performed The test methods performed on the ActiPed+ (Step Sensor/Pedometer) Transceiver are shown below: FCC Part 15, Subpart C Industry Canada RSS-210 Issue 8, December 2010 Industry Canada RSS-Gen Issue 3, December 2010 Test Method 15.249(a)(e) A2.9 (a) N/A Field Strength of Fundamental & Harmonic Emissions 15.249(d) A2.9(b) N/A Field Strength of Out of Band/Bandedge Spurious Emissions N/A N/A 7.2.3 Receiver Spurious Radiated Emissions N/A N/A 4.6.1 99% Bandwidth General Test Requirements 1. The measurement procedures of ANSI C63.4:2003 were utilized as specified in FCC Part 15, Subpart C, Section 15.31(a)(3) and RSS-Gen, Section 4.1. 2. All radiated emissions measurements were performed on an Open Area Test Site (OATS), listed with the FCC and IC, in accordance with FCC Section 15.31(d) and RSS Gen, Section 4.2. 3. All testing was performed with a new battery installed in the EUT, in accordance with FCC Section 15.31(e) and RSS Gen Section 4.3(g). 4. All measurements were performed at the specified 3 meter test distance. The EUT was rotated throughout 360 degrees for all radiated emissions measurements as specified in FCC Section 15.31(f)(5) and IC Section 4.3(h). 5. All readily accessible EUT controls were adjusted in such a manner as to maximize the level of emissions in accordance with FCC Section 15.31(g) and RSS-Gen, Section 4.3. 6. Appropriate accessories were attached to all EUT ports during the performance of radiated emissions measurements as required by FCC Section 15.31(i) and RSS-Gen, Section 4.3(f). 7. The EUT operated at the frequency of 2429.0 MHz. Testing was performed with the device operating at this frequency. 8. The frequency spectrum was investigated from the lowest frequency generated in the device up to the 10 th harmonic of the highest fundamental frequency in accordance with FCC Section 15.33(a)(1) and RSS-Gen Section 4.9. 9. Measurements below 1000 MHz were taken utilizing a Quasi-Peak Detector. Measurements above 1 GHz were taken utilizing an Average Detector in accordance with FCC Section 15.35(a) and IC Section 4.9. The peak value of emissions above 1 GHz were verified to meet the 20 dB requirement of FCC Section 15.35(b).
