OJYKAG7 Appendix 6 Alignment/Tune-Up Procedure The RF Calibration table is an array of values which represent what the RBS1107 power sensor sees at a given output power level. This table is used for controlling the RBS1107's transmit power. The table's array elements are 0.5 dBm apart. Each element is a set point for a given power level. The software periodically reads the power sensor and slews the output power level towards a particular set point. For example, if the user configures the RBS1107 so that its transmit power is 43.0 dBm, the RBS1107 will adjust the output power so that the power sensor reading is within range of the 43.0 dBm set point.
6210 Spine Rd. Boulder, CO 80301Ph. (303)473-6956 Fax (303)437-6880 RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provide with the Ericsson RBS11X7 CDMA Base Station. The calculations are from FCC OET 65 Appendix B, Table 1B Guidelines for General Population/Uncontrolled Exposure. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1.0 mW/cm² uncontrolled exposure limit. The Friss formula used was: S = (Po*G) / (4*Pi*r²) Where S = 1.0 mW/cm² for 1900 MHz Where Po = 20W (Peak RF) Where G = Isotropic antenna gain (numeric) Where r = Minimum Safe Distance from antenna (cm) For: 16 dB gain Antenna - ............. r = 254cm (100 inches)

Supervised By:Charles Beehler RD:kg Sub-part 2.1033 (c): Equipment Identification FCC ID: OJYKAG7 Date of Report February 6, 2001 OJYKAG7 The applicant has been cautioned as to the following: 15.21Information to User. The users manual or instruction manual for an intentional radiator shall caution the user that changes or modification not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. 15.27 (a)Special Accessories. Equipment marketed to a consumer must be capable of complying with the necessary regulations in the configuration in which the equipment is marketed. Where special accessories, such as shielded cables and/or special connectors are required to enable an unintentional or intentional radiator to comply with the emission limits in this part, the equipment must be marketed with, i.e. shipped and sold with, those special accessories. However, in lieu of shipping or packaging the special accessories with the unintentional or intentional radiator, the responsible party may employ other methods of ensuring that the special accessories are provided to the consumer, without additional charge. Information detailing any alternative method used to supply the special accessories for a grant of equipment authorization or retained in the verification records, as appropriate. The party responsible for the equipment, as detailed in § 2.909 of this chapter, shall ensure that these special accessories are provided with the equipment. The instruction manual for such devices shall include appropriate instructions on the first page of text concerned with the installation of the device that these special accessories must be used with the device. It is the responsibility of the user to use the needed special accessories supplied with the equipment. OJYKAG7 Table of Contents RuleDescription 2.1033List of General Information Required 2.1046R.F.
