Follow all instructions — Failure to do so may result in damage to the unit or severe personal injury. 3. Servicing should not be attempted by the user. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to factory qualified personnel. 4. Shock Hazard — An electrical shock hazard exists when the chassis cover is removed as is required to set internal controls. Always disconnect power from the unit before removing the cover. 5. Cleaning — Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Supply a corrected confidential letter. Our test agency, Nemko Canada Inc., provided the following statement from FCC: "Internal photographs are not normally held confidential because anyone who purchases the device can take it apart and see what it looks like. Exceptions are if a company restricts the marketing of a device so it is not sold directly to the general public or it takes a special tool to disassemble it, we will grant confidentiality to the internal photos. Cable set-top boxes were marketed this way at one time and most of them qualified for confidentiality of their internal photos. Another option is for the internal circuitry to be "potted" or covered in epoxy that cannot be easily removed. In that case we would hold the internal photos confidential. Also, if a company professionally installs the products and they are not sold directly to, or viewable by, the general public the internal photos could be made Confidential." A corrected Request for Nondisclosure is supplied. We think that item 9 of the request will justify holding the internal photos confidential. If the request for confidentiality of is not granted, then updated internal photos will be supplied. 2) The measured output power is 31.5 dBm. The specification sheet indicates output power up to 12 Watts. Please correct or provide data. A revised specification sheet is provided. 3) What was the input level of the input signal? Was it tested at the maximum input of 36 dBmV? The input level of input signal was –0.5 dBm (48.3 dBmV). This was sufficient to drive the output to 31.5 dBm. 4) Verify that the antennas listed will be the only antennas used with the device. Confirmed with WaveCom’s Vice-President, Systems Division. 5) Provide frequency stability tests. Frequency stability is not applicable to this equipment as it is a power amplifier with no internal frequency conversions. The MA4070 has an instantaneous bandwidth of 100 MHz in the 2.5 to 2.7 GHz frequency band. High linearity permits the MA4070B to operate with high level digital (64 QAM) signals, or with analog video signals. The MA4070B is a modular plug-in designed for use with the WaveCom MA4000 Series.
