Integrated Engineering USB readers Specifications Typical read range with an ISO Card ISO14443-3 0 - 5 cm ISO14443-4 0 - 5 cm Read range depends on card type and communication speed. Dimensions Board 70 x 40 mm SmartID 142 x 46 x 25 mm Desktop 142 x 76 x 32 mm Material enclosure SB housing with polyurethan potting Operating temperature -20∞ to 60∞ C Certifications CE Features The ISO14443 USB reader is available in three variations. The Smart ID USB Desktop Reader has a slim design to match any dÈcor. The stylish SmartID mullion reader allows for installation on narrow surfaces as door styles. The module is especially design for integration in other products. All three readers allow for connection to a host via an USB connector. The Smart ID Reader offers high reliability, consistent read characteristics. The ISO14443 USB Readers supports ISO 14443-3A and both ISO14443-4 A&B 13.56MHz contactless smart cards technologies. Standard operation modes are Host controlled or dedicated stand-alone mode. The Smart ID desktop and mullion reader can be mounted on any surface without relevant performance degradation. Our commitment is to bring non- propriety, open Radio Frequent Identification (RFID) systems to the market demonstrated with the Smart ID Reader Family. Indications The readers incorporate red and green LEDís and a buzzer that are fully host controllable. Connections The ISO14443 USB readers connect to a host via a "mini-USB" connector on the reader. Interface Coding The ISO14443 USB reader complies to USB 2.0. Security Depending on technology used the ISO 14443-4 USB readers provide high security schemes as challenge response to protect the RFID air interface against record playback attacks. Conformity Consult your National Authority if any authorization is needed for this product. This device complies with the CE Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1) that this device does not cause harmful interference, and 2) that this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
