For additional information, please go to TDKperformance.com. u To charge the internal battery, connect the smaller end of the supplied USB cable to the Micro USB jack and the other end to a powered USB jack on your computer or AC power supply (not included). When charging, the Charge indicator will light red and go out when fully charged. The Bluetooth indicator will blink red twice and the headphone will beep once per minute when charging is needed. Replacing the Rechargeable Battery: If the battery does not supply enough power, visit support.tdkperformance.com for instructions on battery replacement. Rechargeable Battery Notes: • Each time you charge and discharge the battery (one charge cycle), battery capacity slightly diminishes. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and need to be replaced eventually. • You may wish to replace your battery when, or before, the battery does not supply enough power to operate your device. Note that, proper disposal is essential from an environmental and safety point of view. Putting any battery directly in the trash will harm the environment. • Do not incinerate. • If you do not plan on using the headphones for a month or more, turn off the main power (OFF/ON) switch v and store them in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. Rechargeable batteries will self-discharge during storage; remember to recharge the batteries every three months and before use. • If battery has not been charged for more than 4-6 months, perform a couple of full charge/discharge cycles to improve battery capacity. • It is recommended to charge the batteries for more than eight hours before first use. RECHARGING THE BATTERY u 63953382 A The chart below defines the button operations and when the indicators will light: CONTROL BUTTONS / STATUS INDICATORS - See illustration w Charge Indicator ( a b c d e f g h ): Indicates the charging status: Off - Fully charged Red - Charging Play/Pause/Bluetooth/Call Button ( a b c d e f g h ): The Play/Pause/Bluetooth/Call button is a multi- function button that will perform a number of operations as follows: When the headphone is in Standby mode, press and hold 4 seconds to enter the Connection mode (see also Pairing With NFC) or 6 seconds to enter Pairing mode (see Pairing With A Bluetooth Device). When on, press and hold until there is a single red flash to enter Standby mode. When connected via Bluetooth, press to pause; press again to resume playback. If a phone call is received, press to answer the call or press and hold for 2 seconds to decline the call. While on a call, press to end the call. Bluetooth Indicator ( a b c d e f g h ): Off: Standby mode / Connected to AUX connector. Solid Blue: Bluetooth device is connected. Fast Blinks Red/Blue: Pairing mode, discoverable and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device. Slow Blinks Blue: Connection mode, ready to connect with any already paired Bluetooth devices or ready to pair with NFC function. Blinks Red Twice: Charging is needed. Blinks Red Once: Bluetooth power off and back to Standby mode. Skip Buttons ( a b c d e f g h ): Press the Volume/Skip/Search :/+ or 9/– button to skip forward or backward through songs. Press and hold the Volume/Skip/Search :/+ or 9/– button to increase or decrease the volume. These are inactive when using AUX connector. 1. When the unit is in Standby mode, press and hold the Play/Pause/Bluetooth/Call button for approximately 6 seconds to select Pairing mode until the Bluetooth indicator blinks blue and red fast and a beep is heard; the headphones are now “discoverable”. You will have 3 minutes to pair the units. 2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “WR680” from the Device List. If the Bluetooth device asks for a passkey, use “0000”. Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, the headphones will beep and the Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue. Note: After you pair a device, it will be remembered for future use. PAIRING WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE - See illustration x Insert one end of an audio cable (included) into the LINE OUT jack on your external audio unit and the other end into the AUX IN jack on the bottom of the left earpiece. The Aux device will automatically be selected when the audio cable is connected and the Bluetooth device will be disconnected. Start playback of the external unit and the external audio unit’s output sound will be heard through the headphones. When connecting the AUX IN jack to the external audio device, the Play/Pause/Skip functions will not control the external device. When connected via the audio cable, slide the Volume control upwards to increase or downwards to decrease the volume. USING THE AUX CONNECTOR - See illustration U NFC offers a simple setup method for your headphones. Turn the Battery Switch to ON and enter the connection mode by pressing and holding the Play/Pause/Bluetooth/Call button for 4 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator slowly blinks blue or you can also pair in Pairing mode (See Pairing with a Bluetooth device). Then simply hold the NFC-enabled device (NFC on the device must be “on”) within a few centimeters of the NFC symbol on the left ear piece to pair and establish a Bluetooth connection. If the units are paired properly, the headphones will beep and the Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue. You will have 10 minutes to pair the units. It’s just that simple! Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a Wireless Headphones. It can accept analog input source (3.5mm phone jack aux-in) and wireless Bluetooth device. The Bluetooth module in the EUT is operating in the frequency range from 2402MHz to 2480MHz (79 channels with 1MHz channel spacing). The audio signal is fed to earphones. The EUT is powered by 3.6VDC internal rechargeable battery. The internal battery can be charged via USB port (5VDC). The USB port is for charging only without PC connectivity. The NFC tag is a passive device (for Bluetooth pairing) as declared by the applicant.
