Wireless Headphones WR780 English Refer to the included Important Safety Instructions. Please read and save this Quick Start Guide, Important Safety Instructions and Warranty. For additional information, please go to TDKperformance.com.u To charge the internal battery, connect the smaller end of the supplied USB cable to the Micro USB jack and the other end to a powered USB jack on your computer or AC power supply (not included). When charging, the Charge indicator will light red and go out when fully charged. The NFC/ Bluetooth indicator will blink red twice and the headphone will beep per minute when charging is needed. Replacing the Rechargeable Battery: If the battery does not supply enough power, visit www.tdkperformance.com for instructions on battery replacement. The battery is not user-replaceable.Rechargeable Battery Notes: • Each time you charge and discharge the battery (charge cycles), battery capacity slightly diminishes. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and need to be replaced eventually. • You may wish to replace your battery when, or before, the battery does not supply enough power to function your device. Also, proper disposal is essential from environmental and safety point of view. Putting any battery directly in the trash will harm the environment. • Do not incinerate.ª If you do not plan on using the battery for a month or more, turn off the main power (OFF/ON) switch and store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. Rechargeable batteries will self-discharge during storage; remember to recharge the batteries every three months and before use. • It is recommended to charge the batteries for more than eight hours before first use. RECHARGING THE BATTERY u 63953222 A The chart below defines the button operations and when the indicators will light: CONTROL BUTTONS / STATUS INDICATORS - See illustration w Charge Indicator ( c ): Indicates the charging status: Off - Fully charged Red - Charging Play/Pause/ Bluetooth /NFC/Call Button ( d ): The Play/Pause/ Bluetooth /NFC/Call button is a multi-function button that will perform a number of operations as follows:When the headphone is powered on, press and hold 4 seconds to enter the Pairing mode (see Pairing With NFC) or 6 seconds to enter Scanning mode (see Pairing With A Bluetooth Device). When connected via Bluetooth , press to pause; press again to resume playback. If a phone call is received, press to answer the call or press and hold for 2 seconds to decline the call. While on a call, press to end the call. NFC/ Bluetooth Indicator ( e ): Off: Standby mode.Solid Blue: Bluetooth device is connected. Blinks Red/Blue: Discoverable and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device. Blinks Blue: Discoverable and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device with NFC function. Blinks Red twice: Charging is needed. + - Skip Buttons ( f ): Press the Volume/Skip/Search /+ or /- button to skip forward or backward through songs. Press and hold the Volume/Skip/Search /+ or /- button to increase or decrease the volume. 1. With the unit on, press and hold the Play/Pause/ Bluetooth /NFC/Call button for approximately 6 seconds to select scanning mode until the NFC/ Bluetooth indicator blinks blue and red and a beep is heard; the headphones are now “discoverable”. You will have 3 minutes to pair the units. 2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “WR780” from the Device List. If the Bluetooth device asks for a passkey, use “0000”. Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, the headphones will beep and the NFC/ Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue. Note: After you pair a device, it will be remembered for future use. PAIRING WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE - See illustration x Insert one end of an audio cable (included) into the LINE OUT jack on your external audio unit and the other end into the AUX IN jack on the bottom of the left earpiece. The Aux device will automatically be selected when the audio cable is connected and the Bluetooth device will be disconnected. Start playback of the external unit and the external audio unit’s output sound will be heard through the headphones. When connecting the AUX IN jack to the external audio device, the Play/Pause/Skip functions will not control the external device. When connected via the audio cable, slide the Volume control upwards to increase or downwards to decrease the volume. USING THE AUX CONNECTOR - See illustration U NFC offers a simple setup method for your headphones. Turn on the headphones and enter the pairing mode by pressing and holding the Play/Pause/ Bluetooth /NFC/Call button for 4 seconds until the NFC/ Bluetooth indicator slowly blinks blue or you can also pair in scanning mode (See Pairing with a Bluetooth device). Then simply hold the NFC-enabled device (NFC on the device must be “on”) within a few centimeters of the NFC symbol on the left ear piece to pair and establish a Bluetooth connection. If the units are paired properly, the headphones will beep and the NFC/ Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue. You will have 10 minutes to pair the units. It’s just that simple! PAIRING WITH NFC (Requires NFC Enabled Phone) - See illustration y If the headphones have not been paired, for 10 minutes, the headphones will automatically turn off. AUTO POWER OFF When receiving a phone call on your paired Bluetooth device, press the Play/Pause/ Bluetooth /NFC/Call button (or the Answer/End Call button on the audio cable) to answer and use the built-in microphone on the headphones to take the call. BlueTunes ROM QFN uses advanced DSP features for the latest stereo enhancements and to improve audio quality; including SBC and MP3 decoder, support for FastStream (low-latency codec) and 5- band EQ. 2.4 GHz Radio I/O XTAL RF IN RF OUT RAM MCU Kalimba DSP PIO UART Audio In/Out SPI ROM EEPROM I 2 C Applications ■ Stereo headset solution with support for echo and noise reduction ■ Wireless stereo speakers BlueTunes ROM QFN includes, as standard, the cVc single-microphone algorithm for echo and noise suppression. cVc 1-mic is for headset applications only, it provides full-duplex echo-cancellation and a 10dB stationary noise suppressor. The cVc dual-microphone algorithm provides >30dB of noise suppression in both dynamic and stationary noise conditions such as babble, road, music and competing voices. In addition the cVc dual- microphone solution integrates an acoustic echo- canceller, further enhancing the far-end user- experience. A software license enables this dual- microphone algorithm. BlueTunes ROM QFN includes secure simple pairing, which greatly simplifies the pairing process, making it even easier to use a Bluetooth headset. BlueTunes ROM QFN is available in a 8 x 8 x 0.9mm QFN package. 1 MP3 decode functionality requires an appropriate license from Thomson, see Section 17.1 CS-122312-DSP1 Advance Information This material is subject to CSR's non-disclosure agreement © Cambridge Silicon Radio Limited 2008 Page 1 of 77 _äìÉqìåÉë=olj=nck Data Sheet Document History RevisionDateChange Reason 123 OCT 08Original publication of this document If you have any comments about this document, email [email protected] giving the number, title and section with your feedback. Antenna Type: Internal integral antenna Antenna Gain: 0dBi Nominal rated field strength: 103.5dBμV/m at 3m Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance: +0dB / - 6dB According to the KDB 447498: Based on the Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance was 103.5dBμV/m at 3m in frequency 2.4GHz, thus; The EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] = 6.716mW Conducted power = Radiated Power (EIRP) – Antenna Gain So; Conducted Power = 6.716mW The SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (2.480) mW = 9.53 mW Since the above conducted output power is well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
