For more information about RF exposure, please visit the FCC website at www.fcc.gov FCC RF EXPOSURE INFORMATION In August 1996 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States with its action in Report and Order FCC 96-326 adopted an updated safety standard for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic energy emitted by FCC regulated transmitters. Those guidelines are consistent with the safety standard previously set by both U.S. and inte rnational standards bodies. The design of this phone complies with the FCC guidelines and these international standards. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna. Unauthor ized antennas, modifications, or attachments could impair call quality, damage the phone, or resu lt in violation of FCC regulations. Do not use the phone with a damaged antenna. If a damaged ant enna comes into contact with the skin, a minor burn may result. Please contact your local dealer for replacement antenna. Body-worn Operation This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the device kept 2. 0 cm. from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirement s, use only belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that maintain a 2. 0 cm. separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the device, including the antenna, whether extended or retracted. The use of other belt-clip/holster s and other non-tested accessories may not comply with FCC RF Exposur e requirements and should be avoided. WARNING! Using the battery Your CC-Phone comes packaged with a partially charged, rechargeable Lithium battery so that you can use your CC-Phone immediately after it is activated. Installing the battery To attach the battery to your CC-Phone: 1. Hold the battery so that the metal contacts on the base of the battery line up with the metal contacts on the base of the battery pack 2. Place the battery on the back of the battery pack with the top of the battery 3. 밧데리 덮개를 밧데리 Pack 에 씌운다 . Removing the battery To remove the battery from your CC-Phone: 1. Turn the phone off. 2. Remove battery pack from CC-Phone. 3. Pull the battery release point(see illustration). Charging the battery You can tell whether or not your battery needs to be recharged by checking the indicator in the upper-right corner of your CC-Wiz. Charging with the Adapter As adapter jack is connected into battery pack, it is charged. (See picture above) The LED on the front of the Battery Pack indicate the following: 1) Red indicates that the battery is fully charged. 2) Green indicates that battery is fully charged. Using with battery pack charger, a completely discharged battery recharges fully in a approximately 2.5 hours. The empty battery icon Two or three minutes before the battery charge level gets too low to operate the phone, the battery sensor will let you know by blinking an empty battery icon( ). If you continue to operate the CC-Phone without charging, the CC-Phone will turn off automatically. © 2002 PCTEST Lab NVLAP Lab Code: 100431-0 © 2002 PCTEST Lab NVLAP Lab Code: 100431-0 © 2002 PCTEST Lab NVLAP Lab Code: 100431-0

To the best of my knowledge, these tests were performed using measurement procedures consistent with industry or Commission standards and demonstrate that equipment complies with the appropriate standard. Each unit manufactured, imported, or marked, as defined in the commission's regulation, will conform to the samples tested within the variations that can be expected due to production and tested on a statistical basis. I further certify that the necessary measurements were made by: PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, Inc. 6660 -Bdobbin Road Columbia, MD 2 1045 Sincerely, Name : Sung Hyun Lee 'Title : Manager Company name : GROWELL Telecom 261 Yangjae-dong, Seocho-ku, Seoul, Korea Tel : 82 - 2 - 576 - 1209 Fax : 82 - 2 - 576 - 1065 Affidavit for ESN Protection The ESN(E1ectronic Serial Number) is a 32-bit binary number that uniquely indentifies the mobile station to any wireless system. The ESN must be determined in the factory and after that, this number must not be modified or duplicated to any mobile station. So we have the following methods to protect from any attempt to change the ESN. 1. In our device, the ESN is stored in non-volatile memory, the type of which is a BGA (Ball Grid Array, a surface mount chip package that uses a grid of solder balls beneath its package as connectors to PCB). So any attempt to modify the ESN through the outer -lead connections is impossible. Of course, removal of this memory will disable our device. In addition to the ESN, we have two more 32-bit validity numbers in the scattered region of the same memory. And the validity number is calculated by CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Code) Method. If any of these numbers is modified and does not match, our device will be inoperative. To read the ESN, a predetermined packet must be transferred to our device. This packet includes another CRC code. Thus anybody that does not know the packet formats cannot read at all. We do not provide any software for ESN reading, either. To write or change the ESN, three passwords must be transferred to our device via the above packets. These passwords are two 24 -bit numbers and one 32-bit number. If incorrect password is transferred, the ESN cannot be modified and our device will not take any packet for about 10 seconds. ESN writing software used in our factory can write ESN only if the ESN is the default factory value. This software is strictly administered not to be distributed to any unauthorized user. 2. 3. 4. 5. With above methods, we are able to protect illegal modification or duplication of the ESN. And we swear to make all efforts to protect illegal change of the ESN. /+ GROWELL Telecom Co. Ltd.
