American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 November 18, 2001 RE: Alinco, Inc. FCC ID: PH3DJ-S40T After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) Please provide a clearer or higher resolution copy of the schematics. Portions of the schematic are not readable. 2) The attachments provided for external photographs and the labeling information show conflicting warning labeling information (i.e., one shows labeling information for 15.19(a)(1), while the other states the labeling specified by 15.19(a)(3)). Please clarify this issue and also explain why the unit has been labeled for DoC. 3) Section 3.1 of the test report states that the EUT was locked to a set frequency, yet the next sentence states that the scanning mode was deemed the worst case mode. Please clarify this issue. 4) The test equipment listed in section 5.1 of the report does not match the test equipment specified in Table 12 of the test report. The correction factors appear to include preamplifier gain, yet Table 12 does not specify a preamplifier. Please clarify these discrepancies. Timothy R.
