Please read this manual carefully before using the product to ensure full performance, and keep this manual for future reference as it contains information on after-sales services. In case addendum or errata sheets are included with this product, please read those materials and keep them together with this instruction manual for future reference. Introduction Thank you very much for purchasing this excellent Alinco transceiver. Our products are ranked among the finest in the world. This radio has been manufactured with state of the art technology and it has been tested carefully at our factory. It is designed to operate to your satisfaction for many years under normal use. Please read this manual completely from the first page to the last, to learn all the functions the product offers. It is important to note that some of the operations may be explained in relation to information in previous chapters. By reading just one part of the manual, you may risk not understanding the complete explanation of the function. Before transmitting There are many radio stations operating in proximity to the frequency ranges this product covers. Be careful not to cause interference when transmitting around such radio stations. ■ Covering ranges It may vary drastically depending on the type and location of antenna system. Please consult your dealer for details as DR-CS25 requires an external antenna. ■ Lightning Any person is not safe outdoors during thunderstorms and lightning. Note also that no car provides adequate protection of its passengers or drivers against lightning as well. Therefore, Alinco will not take responsibility for any danger associated with using radios outdoors or inside the car during lightning. ■ Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility During transmissions, your radio generates RF energy that can possibly cause interference with other devices or systems. To avoid ■ About Utility Software The utility software may be available and programming cable is optional. such interference, turn off the radio in areas where signs are posted to do so. Alinco Incorporated, Electronics Division Yodoyabashi Dai-Bldg 13F, 4-4-9 Koraibashi, Chuo-Ku, Osaka 541-0043, Japan Date: 2022-12-12 Declaration Letter FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Subject: Declaration of compliance to the requirements of §15.121 FCC ID: PH3DR-CS25 Dear Sir/Madam, We declare that, this scanning receiver is incapable of operating (tuning), or readily being altered by the users to operate, within the frequency bands allocated to the Cellular Radiotelephone Service in part 22 of this chapter (cellular telephone bands). This device will not be able to receive transmissions in the cellular telephone bands by means of clipping the leads of, or installing, a simple component such as a diode, resistor or jumper wire; replacing a plug-in semiconductor chip; or programming a semiconductor chip using special access codes or an external device, such as a personal computer. This device is also incapable of converting digital cellular communication transmissions to analog voice audio. This device is designed so that the tuning, control and filtering circuitry is inaccessible. Any attempts to modify the equipment to receive transmissions from the Cellular Radiotelephone Service will render the receiver inoperable. This scanning receiver rejects any signals from the Cellular Radiotelephone Service frequency bands that are 38 dB or lower based upon a 12 dB SINAD measurement. We are aware that the modification of this device to receive transmissions from Cellular Radiotelephone Service frequency bands will be considered to constitute manufacture of such equipment. This includes any individual, individuals, entity or organization that modifies one or more scanners. Any modification to receive transmissions from the Cellular Radiotelephone Service frequency bands voids the certification of the scanning receiver, regardless of the date of manufacture of the original unit.
