By purchasing ORDERMAN DON you have acquired a quality product, that brings you future technology today. The use of this product will also bring your company many financial as well as operational advantages. ORDERMAN DON has been specially developed for the hospitality industry. As an electronic wireless order-pad, it is part of the hardware of your EPOS solution. This manual describes the operation of ORDERMAN DON. Software functions are described in the user manual of your EPOS system. Parts included With your ORDERMAN DON, you will have received a power supply unit, a rechargeable battery (accumulator), a touch-pen and this user guide. Warranty Repairs should be carried out by your ORDERMAN dealer. The warranty is annulled, if the unit is opened. – user guide 7 Correct handling Safety precautions ORDERMAN DON should be used only with an ORDERMAN DON battery resp. with an ORDERMAN DON power supply unit and with the entry pen of the ORDERMAN DON touch pen. ORDERMAN DON should never be exposed to rain, hail or snow. If the unit gets damaged, it must be checked by your ORDERMAN dealer for possible defects. The touch-area of the unit is made of glass, and should therefore be treated carefully. Never short-circuit the battery and the charging contact surfaces. Never expose the battery to open fire – danger of explosion ! Even if tests have proved, that ORDERMAN DON can survive falls of approx. 1 m and still be in working condition with only the case damaged, please treat the unit with the appropriate care. For the operation of the unit do not use a fountain pen, a pencil or other sharp pens. The surface of the touch-area can get scratched. Use only the entry pen of the ORDERMAN DON touch pen. Care Clean ORDERMAN DON with a soft, clean cloth. Never use detergents, chemicals or compressed air to remove dust. Be careful, that the battery and the charging contact surfaces do not get dirty. This can prolong the charging time of the battery. – user guide 8 Battery use Charging Connect the original power supply unit to the underside of the ORDERMAN DON (see also page 4). The charging procedure of the battery (accumulator) inside the unit is shown by the filling battery symbol. A complete charging procedure takes about 4 hours. The unit can be used during this charging operation. You may also charge the battery separately from the unit, using the ORDERMAN DON charging station (optional). This charging process takes about 60 minutes. The operation time with a fully charged battery is about 6 to 16 hours (depending on the use of the backlight). Exchanging the battery: After pressing the unlock button (see page 5), the battery rises, and can be easily taken out of the ORDERMAN DON. When replacing it again, push the battery into the unit until the unlock button fixes it firmly in place. The battery can be recharged more than 1000 times. You can also use a battery with an integrated vibra call (for waiter calling/paging). Display Indicator for battery level: While working with the handheld, you can get an information of the battery level (percentage indication), by pressing the battery sign. – user guide 9 Getting started To start the operation with ORDERMAN DON, insert the battery and press the On/Off-Button. Before the first operation, it is advisable to do a complete charge of the battery (see page 8). After having switched on the unit for the first time, you get the information of the version of the operating system. By pressing the touch, you arrive at the main men…

Radiated Emission 30 MHz - 1 GHz (FCC ß15.205.a,b, ß15.209, ß15.249 (a) / RSS-210 Sections 6.1.1.b, 6.3) Radiated emissions are measured over the frequency range from 30 MHz to 1 GHz. The bandwidth of the EMI-receiver is set to 120 kHz and the detector-function is set to CISPR quasi-peak. The test setup is made in accordance with ANSI C63.4-1992. Measurements are made in both the horizontal and vertical planes of polarization. Preliminary scans are taken in a semi-anechoic room using a spectrum analyzer with the detector function set to peak. Hand-held or body-worn devices are rotated through three orthogonal axes to determine which attitude and configuration produces the highest emission relative to the limit and therefore shall be used for final testing. All tests are performed at a test-distance of 3 meters. For final testing an open-area test-site is used. During the tests the EUT is rotated all around and the receiving-antenna is raised and lowered from 1 meter to 4 meters to find the maximum levels of emissions. The cables and equipment is placed and moved within the range of position likely to find their maximum emissions. See figure 2 for the measurement setup.
