Scope This document provides a description of the WiMAX 700 MHz product. 2. MacroMAXe (Base Station) A Base station radio, MacroMAXe 0707 700 MHz Ext, is part of a WiMAX broadband fixed cellular wireless access system. The system provides a radio link between an end-user (a subscriber) and a network to give high-speed data access. The MacroMAXe’s transceiver/receiver (Up to 64 QAM modulation, data rate up to 46) uses OFDM and operating in TDD duplexing mode, equipped with a 13.5 dBi external antenna. The maximum RF output power (not including antenna gain) is 41.6 dBm and it can be reduced by software. The MacroMAXe is installed outdoors and typically is mounted on a pole. The Subscriber transmits and receives traffic to and from the base station respectively. The transceiver provides subscribers with "always-on" Internet, high speed data only, or data and voice (VoIP) services and is configured with a unique base station reference number, preventing the ProST from relocating to another subscriber premises without authorization. . 2.1. EUT (MacroMAXe) test configuration The EUT ports and lines description is given in the table below. Parts List/Tune Up Info

Company name: Airspan Networks Inc. Address: 777 Yamato Road Suite 310 Boca Raton FL 33431 USA FCC ID:PIDMMAX0707 MacroMAXe 0707 700MHz Tune up procedure Each MacroMAXe radio has been tested by automatic test station. As part of the test , the maximum RF output power value has been masured. In case the RF output power is higher then specified in the System Description, the MacroMAXe radio doesn’t pass the test and get Fail status. The MacroMAXe boards with Fail status can not be assembled as part of the final product. Name of authorized person: Zion Levy Position: Compliances & Testing Engineer Date: August 29, 2010 Airspan Networks Inc. Tel: +1 561 893-8670; Fax: +1 561 893-8671 , www.airspan.com

RF Exposure Info

Airspan Networks Inc. FCC ID:PIDMMAX0707 Page 1 of 1 Environmental evaluation and exposure limit according to FCC CFR 47part 1, §1.1307, §1.1310 The transceiver is classified as fixed, the calculation was done to confirm a safe distance. Limit for power density for general population/uncontrolled exposure is f/1500 mW/cm 2 for 300 – 1500 MHz frequency range: P = 700/1500 = 0.47 mW/cm 2 The power density P (mW/cm 2 ) = P T / 4π r 2 , where P T is the transmitted power, which is equal to the peak transmitter output power plus maximum antenna gain. The maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power EIRP is P T = 41.6 dBm +13.5 dBi = 55.1 dBm = 323594 mW, where 41.6 dBm is the EUT maximum output power, 13.5 dBi – antenna gain. The minimum safe distance “r”, where RF exposure does not exceed FCC permissible limit, is r = sqrt { P T / (Px4π)} = sqrt {323594 / (0.47 x12.56)} = 234 cm. A warning about a safe distance is contained in the user manual.
