Scope This document provides a description of the WiMAX 2560 MHz product. 2. MacroMAXe (Base Station) A Base station radio, MacroMAXe 2510 Mid, is part of a WiMAX broadband fixed cellular wireless access system. The system provides a radio link between an end-user (a subscriber) and a network to give high-speed data access. The MacroMAXe’s transceiver/receiver (Up to 64 QAM modulation, data rate up to 46 Mbps) uses OFDM and operating in TDD duplexing mode, equipped with a 18 dBi external antenna. The maximum RF output power (not including antenna gain) is 43.28 dBm and it can be reduced by software. The MacroMAXe is installed outdoors and typically is mounted on a pole. The Subscriber transmits and receives traffic to and from the base station respectively. The transceiver provides subscribers with "always-on" Internet, high speed data only, or data and voice (VoIP) services and is configured with a unique base station reference number, preventing the ProST from relocating to another subscriber premises without authorization. . 2.1. EUT (MacroMAXe) test configuration The EUT ports and lines description is given in the table below. Parts List/Tune Up Info

Company name: Airspan Networks Inc. Address: 777 Yamato Road Suite 310 Boca Raton FL 33431 USA FCC ID:PIDMMAX2560 “MacroMAXe 2510 Mid” Tune up procedure Each MacroMAXe radio has been tested by an automatic testing station (which is calibrated weekly for accuracy), which calibrates the unit prior to testing. Each MacroMAXe contains 2 transmitters therefore each in turn is calibrated by the station for RF output power accuracy. The calibration is then verified by transmitting on the RF output power approved for each frequency checking that it does not exceed the maximum allowed by the FCC. For each frequency there is an internal software limit value that prevents the User from exceeding that RF output power setting. In the event the RF output power is higher than specified in the System Description, the MacroMAXe radio does not pass and acquires a Fail status. MacroMAXe boards with Fail statuses are rejected for final assembly of the product. The NMS management program also has internal specific FCC output limits that further checks and verifies maximum RF power output and prevents transmition above the FCC limits. RF Exposure Info

Airspan Networks Inc. FCC ID:PIDMMAX2560 Page 1 of 1 Environmental evaluation and exposure limit according to FCC CFR 47part 1, §1.1307, §1.1310 The transceiver is classified as fixed, the calculation was done to confirm a safe distance. Limit for power density for general population/uncontrolled exposure is 1 mW/cm 2 for 1500 -100000 MHz frequency range. The power density P (mW/cm 2 ) = P T / 4 r 2 , where P T is the transmitted power, which is equal to the peak transmitter output power plus maximum antenna gain. The maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power EIRP is P T = 43.28 dBm +18 dBi = 61.28 dBm = 1342764 mW, where 43.28 dBm is the EUT maximum output power, 18 dBi – antenna gain. The minimum safe distance “r”, where RF exposure does not exceed FCC permissible limit, is r = sqrt { P T / (Px4)} = sqrt {1342764 / 12.56} = 327 cm. A warning about a safe distance is contained in the user manual.
