American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 October 18, 2006 RE: FCC ID: QURRM-128_ATCB004122 Attention: Esa Hakala I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that the operational description states that the GSM850 operation is from 890 – 915MHz. Please note that US operations are from 824-849MHz. Please explain and please correct as necessary. 2. Please note that the smallest resolution bandwidth allowed for making Occupied BW measurements is 1% of the OBW. Please note that for WCDMA plots on pages 14 and 15 of the part 22-24 test report shows a res BW of only 30kHz. Please note that for the projected OBW (i.e. 4.2MHz) the minimum Res BW should be 42kHz not 30kHz. Please provide a 99% bandwidth measurement for the device using the correct resolution bandwidths. Alternately, please explain in sufficient detail why the res BW on the analyzer used is adequate to meet the suggested 1% res bw. 3. Please note that it is not clear from the 15B report if data was continually being transferred between the phone and the PC during testing. As this is a computer peripheral test, data must be present during testing. Please confirm. 4. Please provide the manual for this device. Please insure that all appropriate FCC statements are located in the manual and that appropriate SAR data is also in the manual. 5. Please note that upon reception of the above information a further review of the application may be necessary. 6. Please note that it is not clear as to what type power measurements were made in the SAR report. Was the power measurement ERP/EIRP or conducted. Please be aware that the power between the SAR report and EMC report must be within +/- 0.5dB conducted and +/-3dB ERP/EIRP. 7. Please note that WCDMA testing for 3G requires certain test modes to be used. Please note that WCDMA testing must be done using 12.2kbps RMC Test Loop Mode 1. Also, all applicable physical channel configurations need to be addressed. The SAR report does not appear to address specific test modes for 3G application in sufficient detail. Please refer to the FCC required 3G test protocol found in KDB 941225 to insure all necessary test protocols have been adequately addressed. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
