Aurius QuickStart (PC) Insert the included Aurius CD-Rom into your Mac. Launch and run the Aurius Installer. All necessary files are now installed onto your computer. Connect and sync your Aurius by plugging it into an available USB port. This will provide power and download firmware to the Aurius. The LED on the Aurius will confirm that it’s plugged in and ready to broadcast your music. To select the frequency (and stereo and mute operation), start the Aurius application and follow the instructions that continue inside this booklet. The Aurius can broadcast to any spot on any FM Stereo. Scan your FM dial to find the area that has the least amount of radio stations, then follow these simple steps to set your Aurius to broadcast to a frequency in that area. CHOSING A NEW BROADCAST FREQUENCY Use the Aurius App to adjust the operating frequency (via the slider); as you adjust the slider, the numeric readout will change showing the transmit frequency. To transmit in stereo, click the stereo checkbox. The temporarily mute the transmitter, click the mute checkbox NOTES & TIPS: You can adjust the frequency as many times as you want FCC STATEMENT This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Warning: Changes or modifications not approved by the party responsible for FCC compliance could void the user’s permission to operate this equipment. AURIUS TROUBLESHOOTING The LED won’t come on or wake up from sleep. Reconnect the Aurius, pushing down firmly to make sure it’s solidly connected to the computer. When the LED lights, the Aurius is connected correctly. I tried to change frequencies, but it didn’t work. Check the Aurius’ volume. The level needs to be between 40% - 80% for the frequency change to work correctly. Check and adjust the volume setting before choosing a new frequency. Also, be sure that you click the play button twice to change frequencies, then once more when the LED begins to blink rapidly. The LED will pulse three times to confirm the frequency change. I’ve done everything correctly, but the sound isn’t very good. The Aurius works best when turned to the clearest frequency possible. Make sure the frequency you choose doesn’t have a strong radio station close to it. If it does, try to find a clearer frequency range.
