The module is a fully Bluetooth™ compliant device for data and voice communication. With a transmit power of up to +8dBm and receiver sensibility of down to –83dBm combined with low power consumption the F2M03GLA is suitable for the most demanding applications. Developers can easily implement a wireless solution into their product even with limited knowledge in Bluetooth™ and RF. The module is fully Bluetooth™ v2.0+EDR qualified and it is certified according to CE and FCC, which give fast and easy Plug-and-Go implementation and short time to market. The F2M03GLA comes with an on board highly efficient omni-directional antenna that simplifies the integration for a developers Bluetooth™ solution. The high output power combined with the low power consumption makes this module ideal for handheld applications and other battery powered devices. 03.07.2007 Federal Communications Commission Equipment Authorization Branch 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Request for limited modular approval Free2move AB FCC ID: R47F2M03GL FCC Part 15 Certification Gentlemen, Dear Application Examiner, the Free2move AB module FCC ID: R47F2M03GL is seeking FCC authorization as a limited modular transmitter. The requirements of the FCC Part 15.212 are met except from requirement 1 below. The following requirement is not fulfilled: 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding The radio portion of the module does not have its own RF shilding. The module is only to be installed by the our final products. We ensure RF exposure compliance when installed in end products. The following requirements are fulfilled: 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs The module has a memory management unit inside of the IC and external. It buffers the data inputs from UART and USB terminal. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation The IC contains an own voltage regulation. In case of changes in the supply voltage VCC (for example caused by temperature changes or other effects), the internal voltage will be stabilized. 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204c The transmitter shall only be used with the tested integral antenna or with an antenna that has less antenna gain. Requirements for the use of external antennas are specified in Exhibit “Declaration_about_antenna_configurations” FCC ID: R47F2M03GL. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration The EUT was tested in a stand-alone configuration. The module was fixed in the Casira Development Kit of CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) during the test. See also test setup photos in test report (Exhibit Test Report FCC Part 15.247). For radiated measurements, the required distance of 10 cm was ensured by a special connector. 6. The modular transmitter must be equipped with either a permanently affixed label or must be capable of electronically displaying its FCC identification number. This modular transmitter uses an electronic display of the FCC identification number, the information must be readily accessible on the device in which it is installed. The FCC ID can be read from the UART of the device via the Windows Configuration Program. FCC ID R47F2M03GL This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. If the module is installed inside another device, then the outside of the device into which the module is installed must display a label referring to the enclosed module. The device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. This OEM module is approved for use in products operating as mobile and portable transmitting device with respect to 2.1091 and 2.1093. This grant is valid only when the device is sold to OEM integrators. OEM manufacturers and OEM integrators are instructed to ensure that the end may not be provided with the module installation instructions.
