Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. iCN Remote Control | General operation 4 General operation Component Description Press twice to cancel the current route.  Increases the volume. The on-screen volume bar displays as green and increases as the button is pressed.  Decreases the volume. The volume bar displays as green and decreases as the button is pressed. Turns the sound off. The volume bar displays as grey and indicates that the volume is muted. ! Navigate to My Home. Press once to display the My Home Preview screen so that you can navigate home. Press again to calculate the route to My Home and display the Map screen.  Adjusts the screen brightness up.  Adjusts the screen brightness down. ( Cycles through the 3D Map, 2D Map, Next Turn and Direction List screens. CAUTION Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Overheating may damage the remote control. CAUTION If you are not going to use the remote control for three months or longer, remove the batteries from the remote control. iCN Remote Control | Setting up your remote control 5 Setting up your remote control The remote control uses radio technology, therefore you need to create a link between the remote control and the iCN every time batteries are inserted. The remote control takes 3V lithium batteries (CR2025 or CR2032). Under normal conditions, the remote control batteries will last approximately one year: 1. Inserting the batteries WARNING Keep the batteries out of reach of children. Should a battery be swallowed, immediately consult a doctor. The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not recharge, disassemble or heat the batteries. Do not expose the batteries to fire. CAUTION Do not hold the batteries with metallic tweezers, as a short-circuit may occur. The enclosed warranty excludes non-rechargeable batteries such as the remote control batteries. a) While gently pushing on the thumb-grip, slide the battery cover towards the bottom of the remote control. b) Insert the batteries into the battery tray with the positive (+) side facing up. c) Gently slide the battery cover back into position. 2. Linking the remote control to your iCN a) Turn on your iCN and follow the prompts until the map screen is displayed. b) Press K on your iCN. The Main Menu screen will display. c) Point the remote control at your iCN, then press (. The map screen will redisplay. Operational Description

RF Remote Product type and general commercial description The remote will be sold as an accessory with the iCN720 and iCN750 products. It may also be used with future products. It is a simple RF remote transmitting at 2.4GHz using a simple protocol. Its button functions are: • Cancel route • Route to Home • Volume Control • Brightness Control • Mute • Change view mode The remote is powered by two CR2025 or CR2032 3volt lithium batteries and will come with a small cradle that can be strapped to the steering wheel of a car for convenience of the driver.
