Wireless LAN Device Series WLAN USB Pen-Type Adapter ZPlus-G250 User’s Manual Version. 1.01 (10.27.2003) 1 Notice “ Warning: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The users manual or instruction manual for an intentional or unintentional radiator shall caution the user that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. For these card currently provides Device Drivers for Microsoft Windows ® 98SE/Me/2000/XP. 1.1 Package Contents Before you do anything, open your package and verify it includes: l ZPlus-G250 Adapter l USB Cable l Setup Utility CD containing User’s Manual l Quick Start Guide 1.2 System Requirements l Operating System: Microsoft Windows ® 98SE/Me/2000/XP. l Desktop/notebook PC with CD-ROM drive and USB interface. 5 2 2 Q Q u u i i c c k k I I n n s s t t a a l l l l a a t t i i o o n n This section provides a quick step by step guide on how to install your Wireless LAN USB Adapter. Please follow the steps described below and refer to the appropriate sections for further details: l Power on the computer. l Please make sure that you don’t insert your WLAN USB adapter yet. l Install the drivers and application: 1. Insert the given Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. 2. Click “Install/Uninstall software” button to install. 3. Follow the installation instructions from the InstallShield Wizard by pressing the “Next” button. 4. Choose the appropriate of installation, according to your needs (Application, Drivers) 5. If you want to set the path of your choice, select “Browse” and then “Next”. 6. Then setup wizard will help you finalize the rest steps. 7. Push the “OK” button, and then reboot system. 8. The installation will be completed after reboot. l Insert your WLAN USB adapter. l The “Add New Hardware Wizard” automatically loads the Drivers. l Refer to sections 3 for more details on the installation and configuration under Microsoft Windows ® 98SE/Me/2000/XP respectively. Operational Description

FCC ID:RIW-ZWX-G250 Description of Operation EUT is a USB Wireless LAN Adapter with 11 channels. This device provided twelve kind of transmitting speed 1, 2, 5.5, 11Mbps in IEEE 802.11b and 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54Mbps in IEEE 802.11g. The modulation of this device are DBPSK, DQPSK,CCK in 802.11b mode and BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM in 802.11g mode. The device adapts direct sequence spread spectrum and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system. The antenna is an external antenna with I-PEX connector. This USB Wireless LAN Adapter is an IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless LAN adapter. It allows your computer to connect to a wireless network and to share resources, such as files or printers without being bound to the network wires. Operating in 2.4GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) radio transmission, the USB Wireless LAN Adapter transfers data at speeds up to 64/128-bit Wired Equivalent Protection(WEP) algorithm is used. In addition, its standard compliance ensures that it can communicate with any 802.11b/g network.
