4 1 Introduction What is Bluetooth wireless technology? The Bluetooth wireless technology makes it possible to connect any compatible and stationary communications device without using cable.The technology is based on a radio link that offers fast and reliable transmission of voice and data information. It does not require a line-of- sight connection in order to establish communication. Bluetooth wireless technology uses a globally available frequency range intended to ensure communication compatibility worldwide Preparing the Headset To be able to use the Headset together with a mobile phone, you need to have a phone with Bluetooth technology, or a phone with a Bluetooth adapter connected to it. Charging The Headset comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery is not fully charged when you buy the Headset. We recommend that you charge the Headset to full power before use. Power on while charging: Whenever the charger plugs in the Headset , the indicator will turn red . When the charging is completed, the red indicator will shut off. NOTE: When the battery is low, if the power is on, it will flash both red & blue light; if power off, no indicator light will be shown. * The charging time: 1-2 hours. Compatible charger: You can attach the following charging to HCB-08 * Travel charger CHT-03. * Plug-In saver charger CHP-06 Turning the Headset On or Off To turn the Headset On Press the Button 3 for 3 seconds until you hear two short tones, the Headset indicator flashes blue light per 3 seconds. Storage of Headset 1. Store the HCB-08 with power off and safely protected. 2. Avoid storage at high temperatures (above 60°C/134°F)- such as in a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight. (storage at high temperature can degrade performance and reduce battery life.) Don't expose the Headset to rain or other liquids. To increase the volume press the + key To decrease the volume, press the - key Answering calls To answer a call using the Headset Button 3. When the Headset rings, press ( a quick tap) on the Button 3 once. Ending calls To end the call press(a quick tap) on the Button 3. Can hear the Switch off tone Or use the NO key on the phone. To make a call using voice dialing Please confirm the voice dial of the mobile phone is open. 1. Make sure the phone and the Headset are turn on and within range of each other. 2. Ensure voice dialing function of your phone is turned on. 3. Press (a quick tap) on the Button 3 once, you will hear the two short tones, waiting for voice dial signal (with some phones, the signal may not be clear) then make voice dial by saying a voice tag that has been restored to a phone number. ( To some mobile phones, you will probably not hear a signal or only a very weak signal tone coming from Headset speaker. The signal sound is different with allphones.) 4.To end the call press(a quick tap) on the Button 3. Can hear the shut tone Or use the NO key on the phone. To make a call using the phone key 1.Make sure the phone and the Headset are on and within range of each other. 2.Input the number as you normally would. 3.When the call has been set up , the sound is automatically transferred to the Headset.( Note: If you use Siemens or Panasonic phone, when the call is set up, you have to press(a quick tap) on the Button 3 once.) 4.To end the call press(a quick tap) on the Button 3. Can hear the switch off tone Or use the NO key on the phone. To make a re-dial 1.Press a quick tap on Button 2, the re-dial will process automatically. 2.In redialing, to cut off the redial, press(a quick tap) Button 3 can hear a short tone. Ensure Headset is off. 2. Press the Button 3, don't release the Button around 5 seconds and see a “blue indicator light with flashing red light" in pairing mode. 3. Follow your Bluetooth phone's instruction for the pairing process. Usually, choose the menu of "Connect"or "Setting" to select option”Bluetooth".
