WARNING: Make sure to turn off the light switch before installing or removing the smart light bulb. It’s also recommended that you install the smart light bulb in fixtures where adequate ventilation is provided. Don’t use the smart light bulb with dimmer switches. 2. Turn on the light switch. FOR GAMERS. BY GAMERS. ™ 4 CUSTOMIZING THE SMART LIGHT BULB A. VIA MOBILE DEVICE USING THE RAZER SMART HOME APP (REQUIRED) 1. Download the Razer Smart Home app on your mobile device. 2. Turn on the light switch. 3. Launch the app and follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted to select a WiFi network, select the same network used by your mobile device. Your mobile device must be connected to the same network whenever customizing the smart light bulb. You can now customize the smart light bulb using the Razer Smart Home app. B. VIA PC / LAPTOP USING THE RAZER SYNAPSE APP Before proceeding, make sure you've already set up the smart light bulb on your network from the Razer Smart Home app, and your PC is connected to the same network as the smart light bulb. 1. Go to razer.com/synapse to download and launch Razer Synapse. For existing users, make sure to update Razer Synapse to its latest version. Registering for a Razer ID account is recommended but optional. You may continue as a guest; however, you won’t be able to store any of your settings on the cloud. 2. Turn on the light switch. 3. On Razer Synapse, click on Add Smart Home Device, and follow the onscreen instructions. 4. Update when prompted, and wait for Razer Synapse to set up the smart light bulb. The Razer Synapse Dashboard will now show the Razer RZ43-042501 / RZ43-042502 on the Devices list. You can now customize the smart light bulb using Razer Synapse. Razer Smart Home or RZR.TO/xxxxxxxxx-xxx (For China only) FOR GAMERS. BY GAMERS. ™ 5 UNDERSTANDING PAIRING MODE Reactivating pairing mode Pairing mode is required when setting up the smart light bulb from the Razer Smart Home app. While unpaired, the smart light bulb will always enter pairing mode when you turn on the light switch. Pairing mode, however, will deactivate when the smart light bulb is left unpaired for 5 minutes. To reactivate pairing mode, turn off and on the light switch. Pairing with a new device Once connected, a reset is required to pair the smart light bulb to a new device. To reset, turn off and on the light switch 4 times with 2-second intervals in between. The smart light bulb will briefly shift between colors before displaying white to show that the smart light bulb has been reset and is now in pairing mode. FOR GAMERS. BY GAMERS. ™ 6 SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE SAFETY GUIDELINES To achieve maximum safety while using the Razer RZ43-042501 / RZ43-042502, we suggest that you adopt the following guidelines: Should you have trouble operating the smart light bulb properly and troubleshooting does not work, uninstall and contact the Razer hotline or go to support.razer.com for support. Do not attempt to service or fix the smart light bulb yourself at any time. Do not take apart the smart light bulb and do not attempt to operate it under abnormal current loads. Doing so will void your warranty. Don’t use the smart light bulb with dimmer switches to avoid damaging it. Turn off the smart light bulb using the light switch or in-app when not in use. Keep the smart light bulb away from liquid, humidity, or moisture. Operate it within the specific temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Should the temperature exceed this range, uninstall the smart light bulb to let the temperature stabilize to an optimal level. MAINTENANCE AND USE The Razer RZ43-042501 / RZ43-042502 requires minimum maintenance to keep it in optimum condition. Once a month, we recommend you turn off the light switch, and clean it using a soft cloth to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or harsh cleaning agents. FOR GAMERS.
