It is used for radio communications using the Wiji protocol developed by Ijinus. It allows point to point communication with wireless devices (sensors, loggers,....). It is typically connected to a laptop where is installed a software able to manage data transfer with de wireless devices. This software is “Avelour”. It manages most of Ijinus wireless devices. 2.2 Product Specification 2.2.1 Power supply : Powered by the 5V usb voltage. (USB B connector) Current consumption : 50mA max Operating temperature range : -20...+85°C Storage temperature range : -40...+85°C Typical Operating Range : Up to 200m* * Wireless performance may vary depending on the networking environment. 2.2.2 Power / Activity LED Lights when the access point is powered on and flashes when it is active. 2.2.3 System Requirements PC-compatible laptop with one available USB port Windows® XP, Vista, 7 IMPORTANT: INSTALL THE SOFTWARE BEFORE INSERTING THE USB CABLE www.ijinus.com K0J00005-02A023/9 InstallationUM005 3 Installation The drivers are automatically installed during the installation of “Avelour” (software used to managed the wireless devices). The device is seen as an USB Serial Port. When the access point is plugged on the laptop, it is automatically recognized. In peripheral manager you should see: www.ijinus.com K0J00005-02A024/9 Operating and safety instructionsUM005 4 Operating and safety instructions •Wireless devices should by placed at least 1m far from the access point to avoid radio saturation. •Do not open the device. •Do not use antennas not recommended by Ijinus. •Do not use the device under rain. •Unplug the antenna after use, to avoid connector break during transportation. •Do not handle the devices using the antenna. •Do not handle the devices using the cable. •Do not mechanically force the connectors. •Do not use tools to screw the radio connectors. It is designed to be hand screwed. •Do not shake the devices. •Do not physically modify the devices. •Do not clean the devices with aggressive products like acetone. 4.1 Warning to users in the United States Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement 47 CFR Section 15.105(b) This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device T2002 complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. www.ijinus.com K0J00005-02A025/9 Operating and safety instructionsUM005 47 CFR Section 15.21 CAUTION: This equipment may not be modified, altered, or changed in any way without signed written permission from IJINUS.
