Many thanks, Jenny Jo(Ms)/조찬화 GSM Lab/Wireless Division Assistant Section Chief -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2010 8:28 PM To: Jo, Jenny (Gunpo); Jeong, Feel (Gunpo) Cc: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: R-tron, Inc., FCC ID: STE-QUADCOMM-800, Assessment NO.: AN10T0709, Notice#1 Dear Jenny and Feel, You are listed as the Technical Contact for the above referenced TCB application. The following items need to be resolved before the review can be continued: 1. The FCC ID Label uses the term 'FCC Reg No' but should use the term "FCC ID:" and the characters used for the ID on the label are required to be capital letters. The incorrect label shows "FCC Reg No : STE-Quadcomm-800" but should have "FCC ID: STE-QUADCOMM-800". Please submit a corrected FCC ID Label. Æ Corrected FCC label format is attached. 2. The test report and confidentiality letters also have this same lower case letters issue. Please correct these letters with the correct FCC ID. Æ Corrected Confidentiality letter and test report’s revised. 3. The test report documents RF Exposure MPE calculation using a max 3dBi antenna. The calculation submitted needs to be revised to calculate the Power Density at 20cm instead of calculating the safe distance because MPE is only valid for distances of 20cm or greater. Please correct the MPE calculation. Also, please provide this MPE calculation as a separate exhibit (you can extract it from the report). Æ Pls. refer to revised test report (page 38) 4. There has been no installation guidance regarding Donor and Server antenna selection and placement to address radiated power and RF Exposure for this device. Is there guidance provided for antenna selection or is this device subject to RF Exposure at the time of licensing? Æ Pls. refer to antenna installation guide 5. The Users Manual indicates that this device is designed for CDMA2000 and EV-DO signals. The RF Test report shows input and output signals form one type of signal, but does not define what type of modulation was used nor is there any justification for using only one modulation to represent both types of modulations. Please update the test report to address these issues. Æ Pls. refer to revised test report (page 4) The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of the original e-mail date may result in application dismissal and forfeiture of the filing fee. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the e-mail address listed below the name of the sender.
