iDEN Add-On Filter Box User’s Manual -19- 3.5 Bandwidth & Band Setup The bandwidth and band setup for filtering a downlink signal is done easily by the dip switches located at the bottom of iDEN Add-On Filter Box. The software and computer are not required. A user can setup the bandwidth and band referring to an index table for the combination of the dip switch printed on the right side of the iDEN Add-On Filter Box. For 800MHz’s only, the bandwidth setup is required. For 800MHz’s and 900MHz’s, the band setup is required. Figure 14. Dip Switches for Bandwidth and Band Setup Figure 15. Solution Check if the following RF connections are loose: 1. The cable connection from the donor antenna port to Input port 2. The cable connection from the Filtered output to the repeater 4.2 Power Connection Problem All LEDs at the bottom are turned off. Figure 17. WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS: LG offers you a limited warranty that the enclosed subscriber unit and its enclosed accessories will be free from defects in material and workmanship, according to the following terms and conditions: (1) The limited warranty for the product extends for ONE (1) year beginning on the data of purchase of the product. (2) The limited warranty extends on to the original purchaser of the product and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end user. (7) Damage resulting from use of non-LG approved accessories. (8) All plastic surfaces and all other externally exposed parts that are scratched or damaged due to normal customer use. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) I am a little confused. The filing refers to both a repeater, and also to an active bandpass filter. I am uncertain as to what is actually being presented for Certification. Kindly provide guidance. 2.) FCC rules require a Manual exhibit for this device. Please provide a manual. 3.) Please provide larger, clearer Internal Photos. Some photos are excellent while others are very much like mud. Please review and resubmit clearer internal photographs. 4.) The Confidentiality Request letter asks for photographs to be held Confidential. Only photographs with a very strong justification can ever be held confidential. Please review your Confidentiality request. 5.) The labeling is confusing. We have two labels presented. Which is correct? 6.) The labeling identifies Part 24 of the FCC rules. This is incorrect. 7.) The labeling is of the wrong format. There is no such thing as an FCC registration number in the transmitter world. Please provide a label in the correct format showing ‘ FCC ID: ‘ . 8.) FYI: The block diagram seems to indicate that this is a repeater only – it has no ability to generate RF frequency on its own. Therefore, the frequency stability test may be able to be omitted. Please review. 9.) Please be sure that the person identified in Section I of Form 731 and also listed on the Confidentiality Request letter has authority to speak on behalf of R-Tron. 10.) Jay Kim is the signer of the Form 731. Under whose authority does Jay Kim speak on behalf of R-Tron? 11.) This device appears to be bi-directional on each of two bands. This means that RF Exposure estimation should be considered for both the uplink and downlink portions of this device. Only downlink portions are presented. 12.) The 731 indicates that this device has an emission designator of GXW. But the Test Report appears to have CDMA as the signal of interest. Please review and correct your filing as necessary William H.
