EXHIBIT 13 1 (1) Prepared (also subject responsible if other) No. RSACGUS TA8AKRC161326 Approved Checked Date Rev Reference EAB/FJB/VA [Christer Gustavsson] 2013-07-03 E Federal Communications Commission Authorization & Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, Maryland 21046 Attention: Equipment Authorization Branch SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden Brinellgatan 4 Box 857 S-501 15 Borås Sweden July 03, 2013 Subject: Certification for FCC ID: TA8AKRC161326 To Whom It May Concern: Ericsson AB requests a Grant of Certification (Type Acceptance) for the above mentioned FCC Identifier. This base station transceiver (Radio Unit – mRRUS 12 B4) is designed for use in WCDMA and LTE cellular telephone system. The transmitter will operate from 2110 MHz to 2155 MHz. The receiver circuit supports 1710 MHz to 1755 MHz. It supports channel bandwidths of 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 MHz for LTE. This Radio Unit supports modulation type and QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM for WCDMA and LTE. The base station operates in the Cellular band as per 47 CFR Part 27 subpart L. It meets the requirements of Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) for the Universal Mobile Telephone System (UMTS 3G) mobile standard (cellular telephone system) for operation in WCDMA and LTE cellular systems. This Radio Unit will in normal mode operate at a nominal power out of maximum 2x5 watts at the output connectors, to feed an Integrated wide sector antenna or an Semi-Integrated Omni directional antenna alternative external antenna(s). This Radio Unit supports spectrum consisting of two or more sub-blocks separated by sub-block gap(s), NCS (None-Contiguous Spectrum). This Radio Unit supports MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) and has the ability to transmit with Multiple Outputs in the same Band with 3GPP MIMO/Spatial multiplexing and beam-forming technologies. This Radio Unit support MSR (Multi Standard Radio) with the ability to receive and transmits two or more carriers simultaneously, where at least one carrier is of a different RAT (Radio Access Technology). This Radio Unit supports MSR with WCDMA and LTE. The Exhibit 8 user manuals submitted with this application is generic and may cover multiple products. This application is only valid for the model specified in the Exhibit 12 circuit description. Ericsson AB requests confidentiality under CFR 0.459 according to attached letter. We further certify that the applicant nor any party to the application is subject to a denial of Federal benefits, that includes FCC benefits, pursuant to section 5301 of the Anti-Drug abuse Act of 1988, 21 U.S.C. The measurement uncertainties can be found in the table below. The uncertainties are calculated with a coverage factor k=2 (95% level of confidence). Standard Method Uncertainty FCC 47 CFR 2.1091 RF exposure evaluation 10 %, Note Note: Stated uncertainty refers to the calculated distance. Compliancy evaluation is based on a shared risk principle with respect to the measurement uncertainty. Purpose of test The tests were performed to verify that the radio frequency exposure of the mRRUS 12 B4 meets the requirements of 47 CFR 2.1091 and RSS-102. Description of the test object The test object is a WCDMA/ LTE Multi Standard capable micro Remote Radio Unit configured in Single RAT mode for both WCDMA and LTE base stations and designed to provide mobile users with a connection to a mobile network. Equipment: Product name: mRRUS 12 B4 Product number: KRC 161 326/1, 110-240 VAC internal antenna Product number: KRC 161 326/2, -48 VDC internal antenna Product number: KRC 161 326/3, 110-240 VAC no internal antenna Product number: KRC 161 326/4, -48 VDC no internal antenna FCC ID TA8AKRC161326 IC 287AB-AS161326 IC model numbers: IC MODEL NO: AS1613261 IC MODEL NO: AS1613262 IC MODEL NO: AS1613263 IC MODEL NO: AS1613264 REPORT Date Reference Page 2013-07-05 3P01987-04-MPE 2 (7) Appendix 1 SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden Delivery of test object The test object was delivered: 2013-05-06. Test facility The used test site (503 881) is compliant with the requirements of section 2.948 of the FCC rules and listed, registration number 93866, as a facility accepted for certification under parts 15 and 18. The site complies with RSS-Gen, Issue 3 and is accepted by Industry Canada for the performance of radiated measurements, file no: IC 3482A-1. Reservation The test results in this report apply only to the particular test object as declared in the report.
