Attn: Reviewing Engineer RE: PART 15 UNLICENSED MODULAR TRANSMITTER APPROVAL To Whom It May Concern: We, Bartec GmbH, hereby request part 15 limited unlicensed modular transmitter approval for our device: Brand name: BARTEC Model name: MC9090 RFID-HF FCC ID: TBURFID-HF In FCC Public Notice DA 00-1407 released June 26, 2000 there are eight numbered requirements: that our device complies as stated below: 1. The modular transmitter must have its own shielding. Not compliant, the RFID transceiver module does not have an own shielding; but this module will only be integrated into dedicated host devices under the control of the Grantee himself, so that compliance to the Part 15 emission limits is always assured. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs Compliant; please refer to schematics (U1-A / MAX3222ECUP). 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation Compliant; please refer to schematics (U3, U2-A / LP38692MP 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204c Compliant, this RFID transceiver module is equipped with a fixed connected loop antenna that will be placed inside the dedicated host devices. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration Not compliant; due to the fact that this RFID transceiver does not have an own shielding, this module is tested inside the dedicated host device as documented in this filing. 6. The modular transmitter must be labelled with its own FCC ID number Compliant, this RFID transceiver is labled with its own FCC ID as documented with the lable location info exhibit. In addition, the host device, into which this module is integrated is labled with the auxillary lable “Contains TX FCC ID: TBURFID-HF” 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. Compliant, this RFID transceiver module complies with the appropriate FCC regulations as documented in the test report(s) 8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure requirements. N/A, this RFID transceiver module subject to §15.225 is exempted from the RF Exposure requirements.
