It is a single PCB that contains both the Focus metrology PCB as well as the Hunt Technologies’ STATSignal PCB. We do not supply a manual with the unit but we do notify the meter manufacturer of the required statements that must be placed in the meter manual, meeting the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission CFR 47, Part 15, Paragraph 15.19(a)(3) and Industry Canada RSS-210, Paragraph 5.11. A ‘Ship-Sheet’ is sent along with the final product to the end user; in this the 15.19 requirements are also stated. See Exhibit D Ship Sheet. Data SheetPUBS-0762-0001 Rev A1 FOCUS Universal RF Endpoint Data Sheet General The Cellnet+Hunt FOCUS Universal RF endpoint is designed to accommodate Landis+Gyr FOCUS meters for use in residential and light industrial services. The FOCUS Universal RF module directly reads kWh usage data from the meter register and sends this information to a data collection device utilizing RF transmission. The collector forwards this information to Cellnet+Hunts’ Command Center software. Figure 1. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1.This device may not cause harmful interference, and 2.This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Endpoint Location To comply with FCC’s RF exposure limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure, the antenna(e) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be collocated or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Endpoint Usage The FOCUS Universal RF endpoint will be used: •for residential and commercial metering applications. •at homes and businesses. The FOCUS Universal RF endpoint requires professional installation by qualified personnel. RF Interference This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the meter off, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: •Re-orient or relocate the receiving antenna. •Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. •Consult Cellnet+Hunt or an experienced radio/TC technician for help. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Cellnet+Hunt for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Exhibit A: Exterior Photos FCC ID: TEB-HUNTSS762 Front of Meter The end use will not be able to see our module, the only visual clue that there is an Cellnet+Hunt product in the meter will be the label on the meter shell stating the unit’s serial number and FCC ID of the module located inside. (Exhibit C-Exterior Label) The other label on the meter shell is produced by Landis + Gyr, and is a standard Watt- Hour meter label stating such things as: Meter ID, Class, Voltage, etc. Location of External Label: Exhibit C

Operational Description

TEB-HUNTSS762 Operational Statement: This device is an integration of two existing products, 1) Landis + Gyr metrology circuit board and 2) Hunt Technologies Focus Module circuit board. The RF module will read the data from the metrology portion. The RF transmitter Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying (GFSK) signals to compatible receivers. It’s transmit frequency is based on a table of at least 50 preset pseudo-random frequencies, stored in EEPROM. This table ensures that each of the frequencies are used the same number of times. The frequency synthesizer uses a crystal oscillator circuit as its reference to produce a frequency between 904 and 927.9, which is turned on and off by the modulator to produce a GFSK signal.
