B.Introduction Thank you for purchasing this 2.4GHz Digital AV Sender. This sender system is a digital wireless audio/video sender that uses 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping technology and GFSK modulation, and random ID codes to protect personal privacy. There are over billion hopping sequences to minimize interference and deliver consistently an excellent video and audio quality up to 150 meters away. Using this 2.4GHz Digital Wireless A/V Sender, you can enjoy greater convenience and security in many ways: Safety & Security Application: ▪ Connect a camera as a wireless security system. ▪ Monitor your sleeping baby, playing children, the elderly, or the disabled on TV using your existing camcorder. ▪ See who is outside the door on TV through your camera or miniature CCD camera. ▪ Monitors and records the meeting from another room. ▪ And many more uses! C.Product Layout Pairing Buttons Power LED DC Jack for adaptor AV Jack for Output(TX) or Input(RX) Pairing Buttons Power LED DC Jack for adaptor AV Jack for Output(TX) or Input(RX) -3- F.Use Notics G.Troubleshooting 1.Be sure the transmitter and the receiver were connected to the equipment correctly (e.g. Connect the transmitter to the camera, and the receiver to the TV or DVR). 2.When DC plug is pulled out from transmitter or receiver, it needs to wait for a few seconds to insert it again. 3.Adjust antenna to decrease interference. (vertical or horizontal) 4.In most situations, one pair has a better distance up to 150 meter(open site). When two pairs or more are used at the same time, It can automatically jump to different channels. But the distance between transmitter and transmitter (receiver and receiver), preferably greater than 1.5 meter far. 5.If there are some reasons cause the devise stop, you can try to turn power switch off then on again and make the devise re-link. 6.It is suggested to have 10 pairs mostly operated in same location. Possible Solution Check all cable connections Make sure power plugs are pushed all the way in Check power switches on the remote TV or DVR and Video source(Camera, Camcorder, etc.) Check if the POWER LED of the transmitter and receiver is lighting or not? Their LINK LED should be lit. If Their LINK LED should not be lit, you must re-pair their codes following the D. instruction of the manual Adjust receiver and transmitter antenna orientation Try to place transmitter and receiver in a more close-in location If using a microwave oven, turn it off. Remove microwave oven or wireless router from path between transmitter and receiver Problems No picture or sound Interference: picture or audio -6- -4- D.Transmitter and Receiver Wire Connection DC 5V Input AV In(Audio/Video) Camera DC 5V Input AV In(Audio/Video) Camera E.Pairing the transmitter and receiver Before shipment of these products, they have been matching by ID code, you can immediately instantly use. If wants to re-pair them, you have to follow the instructions as below: 1.Power on the transmitter and receiver by inserting the power adaptor jack. 2.Press the pair button of transmitter or receiver and not release until the power LED begin to flash, then release the pair button. 3.They will enter into the pairing state and automatically link to each other by ID code after step 2 finished. 4.Please don't turn off their power switch during the paring status. 5.When pairing successfully, the power LED for both will be lit directly (not flash) Please note: Pressing the pairing buttons for transmitter and receiver is not necessary at the same time, and they are not necessarily put near or side by side in pairing status, around within 3 meters far is OK Under the transmission, you can see the strength on the monitor as below: -5-

Model: KW2425 Description: 2.4GHz AV Sender Maximum conducted output power (measured): 16.83 dBm or 48.195mW The following table lists the provided authorized antennas: Antenna Gain Model Antenna Type (dBi) Numeric WSS001 Dipole-type Antenna 2 1.58 Below is an example of the RF Exposure Statement: IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with the FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, the antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. No change to the antenna or the device is permitted. Any change to the antenna or the device could result in the device exceeding the RF exposure requirements and void user’s authority to operate the device. FCC ID: TJI-KW2425 Relative Requirement for Compliance According to section 1.1310 of FCC 47 CFR Part 1, limits for maximum permissible exposure (MPE) are as following: TABLE 1 – LIMITS FOR MAXIMUN PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE (MPE) Frequency Range (MHz) Electric Field Strength (V/m) Magnetic Field Strength (A/m) Power Density (mW/cm 2 ) Averaging Time (minutes) (A) Limits for Occupational/Controlled Exposures 0.3-3.0 .................. 6141.63*(100) 6 3-30 ..................... 1842/f4.89/f *(900/f 2 ) 6 30-300 .................. 61.40.1631.0 6 300-1500 ............... ...................... ......................f/300 6 1500-100,000 ......... ...................... ......................5 6 (B) Limits for General Population/Uncontrolled Exposure 0.3-1.34 ............... 6141.63*(100) 30 1.34-30 ............... 824/f2.19/f*(180/f2) 30 30-300 .................. 27.50.0730.2 30 300-1500 ............... ...................... ......................f/1500 30 1500-100,000 ......... ...................... ......................1.0 30 f = frequency in MHz * = Plane-wave equivalent power density NOTE 1 TO TABLE 1: Occupational/controlled limits apply in situations in which persons are exposed as a consequence of their employment provided those persons are fully aware of the potential for exposure and can exercise control over their exposure. Limits for occupational/controlled exposure also apply in situations when an individual is transient through a location where occupational / controlled limits apply provided he or she is made aware of the potential for exposure. NOTE 2 TO TABLE 1: General population/uncontrolled exposures apply in situations in which the general public may be exposed, or in which persons that are exposed as a consequence of their employment may not be fully aware of the potential for exposure or can not exercise control over their exposure. FCC ID: TJI-KW2425 RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provided. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1.0 mW/cm 2 uncontrolled exposure limit. The formula shown in OET Bulletin 65 is used in the calculation. Equation from page 19 of OET Bulletin 65, Edition 97-01 is: S= PG / 4πR 2 where: S = power density (in appropriate units, e.g. mW/cm 2 ) P = power input to the antenna (in appropriate units, e.g., mW) G = power gain of the antenna in the direction of interest relative to an isotropic radiator R = distance to the center of radiation of the antenna (appropriate units, e.g., cm) hence R= (PG / 4πS) 1/2 For our device P = 48.195mW G = 1.58 R = 20 cm S = (48.195 * 1.58) / (4*π*20 2 ) = 0.185 mW/cm 2 < 1.0 mW/cm 2 For complying the FCC limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure, the power density limit is 1.0 mW/cm 2 . The calculation result of the power density at a distance of 20 cm of our device is less than the limit. This means that according to OET Bulletin 65 (Edition 97-01), Supplement C (Edition 01-01), the equipment fulfills the requirements on power density for general population/uncontrolled exposure and therefore fulfills the requirements of 47 CFR Part 15.247 (b)(5).
