Wireless Security Solutions RE104 GE-Compatible Driveway Sensor Features •For sensing Vehicles passing by. •Sensor continuously monitors earth’s magnetic field. When the large metal mass of a vehicle drives by, the earth’s magnetic field is twisted. The sensor then transmits a signal wirelessly to the control panel. •Immune to pets, wildlife, leaves, dust, sunlight. •NO DIGGING! •Weatherproof design handles all environments. •Strong, reliable RF signal. •3-5 year battery life on C battery. •Low Battery indication. Key Instructions •Battery “+” face away from springs. Secure batteries with binder. •Use as a chime function. Do not use as an alarm zone. •Mount sensor within 12 feet of target vehicle. Mount more than 24 feet from street. •Do not plug drain hole in the bottom. Do not overtighten top. •Bumping the sensor will cause it to false (it thinks the world moved). •Performance Effects: Improve PerformanceDegrade performance Close to vehicleFar from vehicle Higher (door handle level)Ground level Slow vehicleFast vehicle Large metal vehicleSmall vehicle with lots of plastic Generally, it shouldn’t matter which direction the sensor head is rotated. But turning it 90 degrees may cause some performance change +/-. •Enrolling: Put panel in RF enroll mode. Install sensor battery. Supervision by panel is optional. The unit is powered by two C- size alkaline batteries. The transmitter is centered at 319.5MHz and is controlled by a SAW resonator. The device measures 5.1 x 3.8”. This transmitter is activated by an internal magnetometer that detects the change in the earth's magnetic field caused by a nearby vehicle. Transmission packets are sent by the device upon valid activation. These packets are 20ms in length and are sent with a random spacing of 170ms to 800ms. Upon completion of these packets, the device goes into sleep mode and will not transmit again until another activation. If no activation is received for one hour, three supervisory packets are sent with the same spacing given above. Certification is requested under FCC Rules, Part 15, Subpart C, Paragraph 15.231. 2.Statement of Compliance Specific sections of FCC Rules Part 2 that require information or listing are given below. 2.1.FCC Part 2 §2.907 This is an application for certification of original equipment 2.2.FCC Part 2 §2.911 a)This application has been filed electronically using form 731. b)All required information has been supplied in this application and its attachments. c)This application has been electronically signed by an officer of Resolution Products, Inc. d)The technical test data has been signed by the agency performing the testing. e)Signature supplied in appropriate block on form 731. f)Processing fee has been paid by credit card. g)Signatures have been supplied electronically. 2.3.FCC Part 2 §2.913 a)This application has been filed electronically. b)Appropriate fees have been filed electronically. c)Equipment samples shall be supplied as requested. 2.4.FCC Part 2 §2.915 We are requesting a grant of certification.
