As documented in the test report, there is no information to address the mode of investigation has been performed to determine the worse case as indicated in section 5.5. please provide a clear description on various mode of operations have been investigated during the preliminary tests. Question #2: Please provide antenna specification. Question #3: Provide foxconn antenna gain information for 5.8GHz band in section 5.3 of test report. Question #4: Page 77 of test report : please provide the formula used to calculate legacy antenna gain. Question #5: Page 77 of test report : please explain why the fixed power limit is 17 dBm. Question #6 : Please provide the manufacturer name and model no of combiner. Question #7: Section 7.2.2 99% Bandwidth : the emission spectrum plots do not agree with the channel bandwidth per the specification. Please redo the 99% bandwidth measurement. Question #8: Due to 99% bandwidth measurement in question, please redo the output power measurement. Question #9 : Section 7.3.1 radiated spurious emission: Page 419: it mentioned co-located radiated spurious emission procedures. Please explain why co-located tests are applicable to this application. Question #10 : Restricted band investigation/ page 434, 802.11g / 20MHz / legacy mode: the margin to achieve compliance is -0.06 dB which is questionable. CCS-TCB will request production sample to verify the product compliance. Best Regards Mike Kuo The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of the original e-mail date may result in application dismissal and forfeiture of the filing fee. Please redo the channel power measurement at this mode of operation with integrated BW not over 40 MHz. Question #12 : Page 314-317 of DTS report, 802.11a H40 Mode, the channel bandwidth integrated during channel power measurement is 72 MHz which is about twice of 99% bandwidth ( max. 37.8 MHz). Please redo the channel power measurement at this mode of operation with integrated BW not over 40 MHz. Question #13 : Appendix B of User manual: Based upon recent FCC review policy, for transmitter modular seeking modular approval, in the user manual, the module manufacturer must be clearly stated what are the required approval conditions and what are the required regulatory compliance to be included in the final host. Please consider to include the following statements in the Appendix B of user manual and provide revised user manual: Transmitter Module approval conditions: 1. Antennas must be installed to provide 20 cm separation distance from the transmitting antenna to the body of user during normal operating condition. This device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 2. Only those antennas filed under FCC ID:UAY-MMC85M can be used with this device. 3. When the Module installed in the final system where the antenna location is less than 20 cm separation distance to the body of user, additional equipment authorization applied. 4. FCC ID label on the final system must be labeled with " Contains FCC ID:UAY-MMC85M " or " Contains transmitter module FCC ID:UAY-MMC85M". 5. In the user manual, final system integrator must be ensure that there is no instruction provided in the user manual to install or remove the transmitter module. 6. Transmitter module must be installed and used in strict accordance with the manufacturer¡¦s instructions as described in the user documentation that comes with the product. This device complies with the following radio frequency and safety standards. The following information are required in user manual of the final host system: USA-Federal Communications Commission (FCC) This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. 2 If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by tuning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna -Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver. -Connect the equipment to outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user¡¦s authority to operate the equipment. CAUTION This device is restricted to indoor use due to its operation in the 5.15 to 5.25 GHz frequency range. FCC requires this product to be used indoors for frequency range 5.15 to 5.25 GHz to reduce the potential for harmful interference to co-channel Mobile Satellite systems. High power radars are allocated as primary users of the 5.25 to 5.35 GHz and 5.65 to 5.85 GHz bands. These radar stations can cause interference with and/or damage this device. Caution: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation. To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, a separation distance of at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. This device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Best Regards Mike Kuo The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of the original e-mail date may result in application dismissal and forfeiture of the filing fee.
