SureFlap Ltd. Trading as Sure Petcare • Company No. 06399085 SureFlap Ltd 7 the Irwin Centre Scotland Road Dry Drayton CB23 8AR, Cambridgeshire DSCF v2 and iDSCF Similarity Justification To whom it may concern The Sure Petcare DSCF v2 is produced as a downgraded version of the pre existing iDSCF design. The product is functionally identical to the existing iDSCF save for the deletion of the 802.15.4 2.4 GHz transceiver function removing all networking capability. The DSCF v2 is mechanically identical to the iDSCF and uses identical bare PCBs but with the components for the 2.4 GHz transceiver and for decoding TROVAN Microchips deleted. The RFID performance of the unit is not affected by these changes. Yours faithfully, Dr. David Hallas, Managing Director

Operational Description

SureFlap Ltd Ground Floor Building 2030 , Cambourne Business park, Cambourne, CB23 8DW, United Kingdom Operating description FCC details FRN: 0019054196 FCC ID: XO9-DSCF1003 Model ID: DSCF v2 This device is a pet door with an integrated RFID reader that operates at 126 kHz or 133 kHz. The reader is normally used together with a sub-dermal RFID implant in the pet that is not provided with the product. The antenna is integrated into a short tunnel and may not be modified by the user. This tunnel goes through the door or wall that the pet door is installed in. The product has 2 read antennas and reacts to pets moving in both directions through the tunnel The pet door incorporates an infrared proximity detector that monitors for the presence of the pet. When the pet’s presence has been determined then the RFID reader tries to read the tag ID number and compares it to a previously stored list. If the ID tag matches one of the stored codes then a motorised lock is opened and the pet is allowed in or out. The button when pressed puts the device into a learn mode. In this mode when a pet goes through the door the reader reads the pet’s ID tag number and stores it in the list of allowed animals. This list can be wiped, if necessary, by holding down the same button. The device is battery powered and does not have any external connections. Yours faithfully, Dr. David Hallas, Managing Director

If magnetic field strength is measured, convert to electric field strength in accordance with the antenna manufacturers’ conversion factors. Calculate the eirp using the equation above.
