This sensor is ideal for remotely monitoring room temperature and reporting back to control panel or thermostat. The CS-502 also supports external NTC 10K ohm Type 2 probes. Features • Quick installation • Compatible with any ClearSky™ compatible system • Monitor temperatures remotely • Alerts you of a change in temperature • Encrypted protocol – reliable and secure Specifications • For indoor use only • Operating frequency: 345 MHz • Operating temperature: 0° – 49°C, 32° – 120°F • Operating humidity 5-95% RH non-condensing • Battery: 2x AAA 1.5V DC batteries • Battery Life: up to 8 years • Detection of standing water within 1 second across gold probes • Temperage Range (onboard thermistor): 0° – 49°C o With External 10k ohm • External Probe Input fits 24-18 AWG wires. Package contents • 1 x Remote Temperature sensor (with AAA batteries) • 1 x Double Sided Adhesive Tape • 2 x Mounting Screws • 1 x Installation Manual Installation Instructions (1) Identify location for Remote Temperature Sensor. (2) Pair the sensor to the ClearSky™ compatible hub. Follow pairing instructions in the next section. (3) If using an external probe, strip the wire off 7 to 9 mm and insert them into the external probe connector. See Figure 1 (4) Move the flip switch to the “external probe” position. PN CS-502 Pairing To pair the sensor, set your ClearSky Compatible Controller into sensor learn mode. Refer to your specific ClearSky Compatible Controller instruction manual for details on these menus. On the temperature sensor, locate the learn button above the external probe connector. Initiate pairing by pressing the the learn button. Repeat as needed by the ClearSky Compatible Controller. Unpairing Any ClearSky™ Device can be removed from any ClearSky™ compatible controller. Follow the directions to put your ClearSky™ Controller into exclusion mode to remove the device. Testing To test the signal transmission from the desired location, press the learn button. It will report the temperature value. Battery State The temperature sensor will alert the controller when the batteries become low. While the batteries are low, the controller will report the battery level as defined in its operation. The temperature sensor will continue operating until the batteries are completely depleted. Replacing the Battery When the battery is low a signal will be sent to the control panel. To replace the battery: 1. Carefully remove the front cover by prying on the bottom plastic tab. 2.
