Users Manual

CS-6 12 Flood and Freeze Sensor patent pending Installation Manual Operating Temperature: 32°-120°F (0°-49°C) Operating Humidity: 5-95% RH non condensing SPECIFICATIONS Frequency: 345 MHz Battery: One 3Vdc lithium CR2450 (620mAH) Battery life: up to 5 years Compatible with ClearSky Det ect Freeze at 41°F (5°C) restores at 45°F (7°C) Supervisory signal interval: 64 min(approx.) Detect a minimum of 1/64 th in of water OPERATION The CS-612 sensor is designed to detect water across the gold probes and will alert immediately when present. The Freeze sensor will trigger when the temperature is below 41°F (5°C) and will send a restoral at 45°F (7°C). ENROLLING To enroll the sensor, set your panel into sensor learn mode. Refer to your specific alarm panel instruction manual for details on these menus. The CS-612 locate the flood probes on the bottom of the sensor, you will need to bridge two adjacent probes to initiate a transmission from the sensor. 1.To learn in as a flood/freeze sensor, bridge two adjacent probes to initiate a transmission from the sensor. PLACEMENT Place the flood detector anywhere that you wish to detect a flood or freezing temperature, such as under a sink, in or near a hot water heater, a basement or behind a washing machine. If you would like to make sure the flood does not move from its intended location, use the provided sensor bracket and secure it either to the floor or wall. Testing the unit By bridging adjacent probes, you can send a Flood/Freeze transmission. Bridge two adjacent probes using a paperclip or metal object and remove it within 1 second. This will send a Flood/Freeze transmission. REPLACING THE BATTERY When the battery is low a signal will be sent to the control panel. To replace the battery: 1.Carefully remove the white rubber feet on the bottom of the flood detector. 2.Remove the 3 screws and open the case. Replace battery with a Panasonic CR2450 Lithium Battery 3.Replace the screws and rubber feet FCC COMPLIANCE STATEMENT This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B digital devices, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
