NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:    Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. System setup 1 INSTALL the AC power adapter → You should see the player boot up screen as shown in right 2 WAIT while player boots up → once you see “Basic settings” on screen, the unit is ready for content update or menu configuration 3 PLUG IN a USB mouse to the unit’s USB port or configure by touch screen(IAD18001 only) 4 Enter the corresponding configuration option by moving the mouse cursor over the configuration and click on the option to enter (or tap on the configuration option for IAD18001) → find and set the correct time/date AND time zone. IMPORTANT: time zone must be set correctly in the menu or via management software for scheduled playback → (OPTIONAL) Set a Password in the menus to prevent unauthorized changes. IMPORTANT: Password will be asked while enter the setup menu during playback 5 Click Set content button to configure your signage appliance to the content service if needed → For advanced player configuration, such as static IP, display resolution, and firmware update, visit www.digisignage.com for more information 5 1.5. Connect device to network 1 Click the Wireless LAN setting to launch the wireless configuration UI. 2 Click the ON/OFF button as indicated below to turn ON Wireless interface (network). 3 The player will scan for wireless signals nearby and available access points will be listed. 4 Click on the network ID to connect. If the network requires authentication, you will be asked to provide a password. 1.6. INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES FCC ID: Y9E-IAD18001 R F Exposure report The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a Smart Signboard with WiFi function o p erating at 2412-2462MHz for 802.11b/g/n-HT20, 11 channels with 5MHz channel spacing and 2422-2452MHz for 802.11n-HT40, 9 channels with 5MHz channel spacing. The EUT was powered by AC/DC adaptor through AC120V/60Hz or PoE. For more detailed features description, please refer to the user’s manual. Modulation Type: BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM for OFDM. CCK, DQPSK, DBPSK for DSSS. Antenna Type: Integral antenna Antenna Gain: 2.2dBi The nominal conducted output power specified: 21dBm (Tolerance: +/-3dB) The maximum conducted output power for the EUT is 22.62dBm in the frequency 2.462GHz 802.11g mode which is within the production variation. The minimum conducted output power for the EUT is 19.49dBm in the frequency 2.412GHz 802.11b mode which is within the production variation. According to FCC Part 2.1091, this unlicensed transmitting devices is categorically excluded from routine environmental evaluation for RF exposure prior to equipment authorization or use. For Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) evaluation of the product, the maximum power density at 20 cm from this transmitter shall be less than the General Population / Uncontrolled MPE limit in FCC Part 1.1310. The maximum EIRP= 21+3+2.2=26.2dBm=416.9mW The source-based time averaged maximum radiated power = 416.9 mW x Duty Cycle = 416.9mW From above data, the exposed power density at a distance (R) of 20cm from the center of radiation of the antenna can be calculated according to OET 65 as follow: = PG/4πR^2 = E IRP/4πR^2 = 416.9/ 4πR^2 = 0 .08 mW/cm^2 INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES FCC ID: Y9E-IAD18001 T he MPE limit is 1.0 mW/cm^2 for general population and uncontrolled exposure in the WiFi frequency range according to FCC Part 1.1310. As the measured power density at 20cm from the transmitter is lower than the MPE limit, the compliance to the MPE limit can be ensured by indicating the minimum 20cm separation between the transmitter's radiating structure and body of the user or nearby persons. Transmitter Duty Cycle Calculation The EUT transmit continuously during the test, the duty cycle is 100%. The following RF exposure statement or similar sentence is proposed to be included in the user manual: “FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement Caution: This Transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons.”
