Users Manual

Instructions, videos and help can be found at: mimosa.co/support The following additional items are required or recommended items for proper installation to meet applicable local or national electrical codes or safety standards: • Dual-polarization access point category antenna - the antenna must be cross-polarized • Minimum 10 AWG (5.26 mm 2 ) ground cable with pre-terminated ring terminal • Passive Gigabit Power over Ethernet injector supplying between 24-57 VDC to device input • Outdoor shielded CAT6/6A Ethernet cable • Recommended: One (1) hose clamp pole straps (if no integrated mount clips on your antenna) • Recommended: Mastic sealing tape 1. Mounting Using a hose clamp style pole strap, attach the A5x to the desired pole by inserting the straps through the slot in the mounting bracket, and tighten the strap. Alternatively, attach the device to any antenna which supports the integrated mounting clips shown below. 2. Grounding Use minimum 10 AWG (5.26 mm2) ground wire with a ring terminal style connector and attach to the provid- ed grounding lug on the A5x. The ground wire should be no longer than 1 m in length. Hose Clamp Mount Clips To ground 3. Antenna Connection Connect two (2) RP-SMA male type jumper cables between the chosen antenna and the A5x and tighten as shown below. It is recommended to optionally seal the connectors with mastic tape for weatherproofing. 4. Connect Ethernet Connect a shielded CAT6/6A Ethernet cable (not included) to the device, inserting it through the M25 cable sealing gland components and tighten as shown in the diagram below. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a passive PoE power supply (the A5x supports passive 24-57 VDC PoE input). b a a b c d Safety, Warranty, & Compliance Export Control These commodities, technology, or software were exported from the United States in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations. 469 El Camino Real • Suite 100 • Santa Clara, CA 95050 airspan.com LETTER OF ATTESTATION Federal Communications Commission 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, Maryland 21046 December 16, 2019 To Whom it May Concern: We attest to the following: Per FCC 15.407(c), the device will automatically discontinue transmission in case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure. This is done via the device utilizing the 802.11 MAC protocol in its communication with other modules. The 802.11 MAC provides for transmission only when information is present to transmit. When there is no information to transmit, no packets will be scheduled for transmission and the RF transmit circuitry will remain off. In the case that operational failure is detected, the module will be rebooted and transmission will cease until the processor verifies normal operation Sincerely, David Stiff VP Product Management, Fixed Wireless

FCC ID: 2ABZJ-100-00107 IC: 11823A-100107 ATCB024637 Please note that, per Section 15.101(a), the digital device portion of the EUT (i.e., the digital circuitry not directly related to the transmit function) is subject to either certification (separate from the NII certification – it would be a composite device together with the NII radio, and require a separate test report only including the digital emissions below 1 GHz), or SDoC. Please indicate which type of authorization will be used for the digital device portion of the EUT. If certification will be used, please submit the new, separate test report (and note that there will also be an additional charge for this). If SDoC will be used, please note that the info to the user required by Section 2.1077(a) must be included in the User’s Manual provided with the device by the time that it is marketed, or on a separate sheet included with each device. The digital portion of the device is being set forth as a Self-Declaration of Conformity, the installation manual has been updated to include the necessary SDoC statement.

Output power listed is the conducted aggregate output of all transmitter ports. Professional installation is required. The dipole antenna authorized for use with this device may only be mounted indoors. RF exposure compliance is addressed for 1.1310 and 2.1091 MPE limits - this device complies with KDB 447498 and is approved for mobile/fixed operation at the distance specified in the filing. This device operates in a 2 x 2 MIMO configuration as described in the filing, and supports 20, 40, and 80 MHz BW modes. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not transmit simultaneously with any other antenna or transmitter, except in accordance with FCC multi- transmitter product procedures. Grantee must provide installation and operating instructions for complying with FCC multi-transmitter product procedures and RF exposure compliance.
