Currently only cellular system operators have access to these manuals. Internal photos are kept confidential by virtue of the fact that the end product is a non- consumer product, certified and housed in a sealed enclosure, and is only accessible by trained /approved maintenance personnel. Further, the Applicant has spent substantial effort in developing this product, some aspects of which are deemed to be trade secret and proprietary. Having the subject information easily available to our competitors in this market would negate the advantage we have achieved by developing this product. Not protecting the details of the design will result in financial hardship. The AWEUC/D 5G AirScale 24 GHz mmWave Radio 2T2R 128AE n258 24G is part of our ASMR family of products. This system is composed of a base unit and up to two extension modules. The Radio Base Unit, an AWEUC (AC version) or an AWEUD (DC version) are paired with the FA3UB Extension Modules to form a 360 degree coverage transceiver system. The Base and Extension Modules incorporate identical mmWave 5G LTE / New Radio Transceiver modules. The transceiver modules implement dual polarized 8x12 active element phased arrays. These 1400 MHz instantaneous downlink bandwidth units have a total power output capability of 52 dBm EIRP per polarization for a total combined power of 55 dBm EIRP. It can be configured to provide one to seven carriers of 97M5G7W emissions designator in the in the Upper Microwave Flexible Use Service spectrum (24.25 – 25.25 GHz) as allowed under 47CFR Part 30. The US n258 operational parameters are one or two 97M5G7W carriers in the 24.25-24.45 GHz portion of the US n258 spectrum and one to five 97M5G7W carriers in the 24.75 – 25.25 GHz portion of the spectrum. The total RF power will be divided among the one to seven carriers anywhere in the two portions of the spectrum. Thus, any carrier configuration can provide up to the specified power of 52 dBm EIRP per polarization for a total combined power of 55 dBm EIRP Nokia Bell Labs, part of the Nokia family of companies, hereby requests certification for Multicarrier operation with up to seven carriers utilizing this 5G New Radio OFDM based air interface. The hardware design is unchanged and all of the required supporting exhibits are attached. Response The Nokia AWEUC/D supports the LTE Based 5G New Radio access technology defined in 3GPP, including multiple- input multiple-output (MIMO). The 5G-NR access technologies are being developed and standardized under 3GPP TS 38. The status of Release 16 is that it is the evaluation stage with Release 16 scheduled to be issued in Q4 of 2018. The latest released document detailing modulation was: 3GPP TS 38.211 V15.2.0 (2018-06) 3rd Generation Partnership Project; Technical Specification Group Radio Access Network; NR; Physical channels and modulation (Release 15) This above standard incorporates coding for QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM and 256QAM so the overall spectral appearance is similar to LTE.
