ADDENDUM “IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with the FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, no change to the antenna or the device is permitted. Any change to the antenna or the de vice could result in the system exceeding the RF FCC NOTICE For RF exposure exposure requirements.” Warning: Modifying, tampering with, or adjusting this unit, or replacing any transmitter component (crystal, semiconductor, etc.) may result in a violation of the FCC rules. This wireless microphone system complies with Part 90 of the FCC Rules. There are three frequencies available for the system. You must obtain a license for each frequency you plan to use before operating your system. One license can include both frequencies. Visit http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/, or call your local FCC office to apply for your license. Your ability to obtain a license will depend on how you plan to use the system. Wireless lapel microphone system 32-1257 IMPORTANT AE0019AAA1 Printed in China To maintain compliance with the FCC’s RF exposure guidelines, hold the transmitter and antenna at least 1 inch (2.5 centimetres) from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the antenna pointed up and away from the face. Ensure that the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 centimetres) from your body when you are using your wireless microphone. Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations. Your wireless microphone contains a low power transmitter. When the EUT is powered on, it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for wireless devices. For devices less than 200mW ERP SAFETY INFORMATION

Circuit Description Theory of Operations Circuit Description Transmitter: 1. Audio Amplifier and Compressor Audio signal from condenser MIC is amplified by Q9. Compressor IC U1(GL6552D) will increase the dynamic range of the input audio signal . Adjust VR2 to control the Modulation Deviation. 2. Power Indicator VR1 Q6 Q7 Q8 and D3 for control the Power LED, the LED will OFF if the battery voltage is low. 3. Switch Control SW2 is used to select the status such as: OFF/STANDBY/TALK, SW1 for the momentarily MUTE. 4. RF Oscillator and Amplifier RF oscillator is composed of Q1 X1 L2 D1 and D2 etc. It generates the LO of the transmitter and it can be modulated by the audio signal. Q2 is buffer amplifier. The filter further reduce those unwanted harmonic signal. Q3 Q4 is the RF power amplifier for the transmitter. FCC ID: AAO3201257T
Tuning Procedure for 32-1257 TX Section 1.1 Frequency Accuracy Adjustment 1.1.1 Solder the opened end of the BNC cable to “Mic- “ and ground of the board by using the soldering iron. Then connect the BNC terminal to the Spectrum analyzer 1.1.2 Turn on the DC power and set the SW2 (Off/Standby/Talk) to Standby mode 1.1.3 Set the Spectrum Analyzer to: Desired Frequency :F0 (169.505MHz, 170.245MHz or 171.905MHz) Span : 50KHz BW: 1KHz 1.1.4 Adjust L2 until the carrier Frequency is within our desired. 1.2 Mike Sensitivity Tuning 1.2.1 Solder the opened end of the BNC cable to “Mic- “ and ground of the board by using the soldering iron. Then connect the BNC terminal to the Tester HP8920 1.2.2 Turn on the DC power and set the SW2 (Off/Standby/Talk) to Talk mode 1.2.3 Set the AF level to 2mV 1.2.4 Set the Tester HP8920 to following settings: TX mode Filter: 300Hz—3000Hz Emphasis: On 1.2.5 Adjust the VR2 until 7KHz deviation is read .
