Consult your local RadioShack store or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using your microphone system. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by RadioShack may cause interference and void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the condition that this device may not cause harmful interference. This wireless microphone system complies with Part 90 of the FCC Rules. There are three frequencies available for the system. You must obtain a license for each frequency you plan to use before operating your system. One license can include both frequencies. Visit http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/, or call your local FCC office to apply for your license. Your ability to obtain a license will depend on how you plan to use the system. For RF exposure “IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with the FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, no change to the antenna or the device is permitted. Any change to the antenna or the device could result in the system exceeding the RF exposure requirements.” For devices less than 200mW ERP SAFETY INFORMATION Your wireless microphone contains a low power transmitter. When the EUT is powered on, it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for wireless devices. IMPORTANT To maintain compliance with the FCC’s RF exposure guidelines, hold the transmitter and antenna at least 1 inch (2.5 centimetres) from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the antenna pointed up and away from the face. Ensure that the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 centimetres) from your body when you are using your wireless microphone. Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations. rf emission information ©2006. RadioShack Corporation. All rights reserved. Circuit Description Theory of Operations Circuit Description Transmitter(TX): 1.Audio Amplifier and Compressor Audio signal from dynamic Mic is amplified by Q200 Q201. Compressor IC U200(GL6552D) will increase the dynamic range of the voice signal . C225 R226 R227 are the Pre-emphasis circuit and the audio signal is amplified further by Q205. Adjust VR200 to control the Modulation Deviation. 2.ALC Circuit ALC circuit are built by Q202 D200 Q203 and Q204, it will improve further the dynamic range of the voice. 3.Power and Low Battery Circuit U201 D201 and L201 etc. are 5V DC-DC convertor circuit for all circuit to provide DC power. Q206 Q207 and Q208 will control the Power LED D202, the LED will light off if the battery is weak. 4.Switch Control SW200 is Talk/Mute/OFF slide control switch. 5.RF Oscillator and Amplifier RF oscillator are built by Q100 X100(three frequencies: 14.1254MHz/14.1871MHz/14.3254MHz) L101 D101 D102 and L100 etc. same times they will modulated with audio signal and selects the desired frequency at this stage, Q101 is buffer amplifier, Fil100 will filter further those unwanted carriers frequency, Q102 Q103 amplifier stage provide the maximum RF power. Connect a BNC cable’s opened end to P5 point by soldering and others BNC terminal connect to the RFIN of the RFSA. 2. Turn on the DC power and set the SW200 (OFF/MUTE/TALK) to MUTE mode, LED D202 lights on. 3. Set the RFSA as below: Center freq: UUT’s channel frequency Span: 50KHz 4. Adjust L201 and VR100 until the desired frequency +/- 1KHz is obtained from the RFSA. Distortion Tuning 1. Connect a BNC cable’s opened end to P5 point by soldering and others BNC terminal connect to the RFIN of the RFCTS. FCC ID: AAO3201258T 2. Connect a BNC cable’s opened end to MIC+ and MIC- and others BNC terminal connect to the AUDIO OUT of the RFCTS. 3. Setup the RFCTS as follow: TX mode Filter: 300-3KHz Emphasis: ON IF filter: 230KHz AUDIO OUT : 9.5mV 4. Turn on the DC power and set the SW200 (OFF/MUTE/TALK) to TALK mode, LED D202 lights on. 5. Adjust VR200 until 7KHz deviation is obtained, read the distortion from the RFCTS which will be ≤2% . 6. If the distortion is bigger than 2%, adjust VR100 until the desired value is obtained. Mike Sensitivity Tuning 1. Setup the RFCTS as follow: TX mode Filter: 300-3KHz Emphasis: OFF IF filter: 230KHz ANT IN 2. Insert an antenna to ANT In of the RFCTS. 3. Adjust the Speaker Level of the Test jig to 106dBspl . 4. Put the UUT into the Test Jig and set the SW200 (OFF/MUTE/TALK) to TALK mode. 5. Adjust VR200 until 7KHz deviation is obtained.
